    Thumbs up New one..

    Hi everybody!!

My name is Abraham (yes like Ab Lincoln) male, 23 years old and i'm from México.

As you can see I'm new here. I'm starting in this traxxas world with a spanking brand new KB ghymkhana ford fiesta (#7308) totally stock. The whole thing began when my girlfriend went for a company training to farmington hills MI and she decided to bring a little gift for me. traxxas ken block gymkhana ford fiesta.

I'm considering changing tires and wheels because I have seen in this forum some broken wheels and stuff. Besides I would like to change the look of the car.

So I'm seriously thinking on get some low profile white wheels!!

And this is where I ask for your help.

I don't know if the wheels & tires of this page will fit my KB fiesta.
    http://www.hpiracing.com/hpiwheels/

How can I identify the correct size and "bolt pattern" for my KB fiesta?

Are there anybody with a hobby store or so that sells wheels & tires for my car?
Considering I'll need the product to be sent to México.

Thank you everybody for your time!

    Best regards.

    ¡Hola!

You need 12mm hex, 3 or 4mm offset, 26mm ish width 1/10 scale touring wheels and tires.

Tire recommendations depend on what you want to run on...

The tire you linked is the stock Traxxas Rally tire... they're harder and smoother and less grippy than most rubber touring tires. They are fun for drifting on LiPo, but really sketchy if you need grip for high speed or handling driving. (They're what came on my Rally).

HPI X Pattern are pretty much the perfect all-around grip tire, even in the rain, and can do okay in dirt too...

If you want off-road capability, get some Tamiya Rally Block or perhaps some of the gnarlier rubber touring tires.

Drifting are another class of tire as well with grades of softness (softer ones seem to do better on asphalt while the super-hard PVC stuff works well on concrete)...

In addition to HPI, there's an online retailer called R2 Hobbies who have a great selection of inexpensive wheels and tires that work pretty well. Their drift tires have been great, and I really like their "Performance" touring tire for off-road. RCMart has some nice selection as well but tend to be pricier...

Here's the KBlock on wheels thread, and
check the Rally aftermarket wheels thread too.

    Hola prototyp!! Hablas español?

    Thank you for your answer!

Ok. Let me see if I get your post.

Any 26mm tire will fit properly into my KB fiesta?

And any 3 or 4mm offset wheel of 26mm will perfectly fit into the car?

Can I use the provided hex to lock the new wheels?

I know there too many questions but I want to be sure of all before order anything considering I'm too far from de U.S.

    Best regards.

    No... not much español...

Yes, any 26mm width, 3~4mm offset 1/10 touring car wheelset will fit. Make sure you look for the standard 1/10 touring 49mm~52mm diameter wheels. There are some much-smaller-diameter "mini" ones out (HPI Cup for example), but are less common.

The 12mm hex refers to the size of the socket on the backside of the wheel, where it mates up to the axle. The wheel nut to bolt the wheels onto your Block is a common "4mm flange nut" (if you shop around you can find those in blue, red, purple, black, gray, etc...)

    Hey again prototyp!!

Such a nice wheels collection you got there!!

I've scheduled a photo session tomorrow. I'll be posting some "in action" pics soon.

    Btw...

I'm about to order some wheels and tires from HPiracing and perhaps a set of the car's original wheels and tires. (http://buy.traxxas.com/product_info....oducts_id=3702)

Since the original battery is "out of stock" and I definitely want more running time in my KB fiesta I been wondering if this LiPo battery can be used on my 7308 KB FIESTA wich equip the titan 550 engine???
    http://buy.traxxas.com/product_info....oducts_id=3815

Can I used that LiPo battery in my STOCK 7308 KB fiesta??
Or I need some serious upgrade in order to be used?

With the stock brushed 7308 kb fiesta you can not use a lipo battery. There are however other Nimh batteries out there, i run 1600mah venom nimh, also you can get the traxxas batteries from a variety of places

You can run a 2s LiPo in the brushed one, but you need a low voltage alarm/cutoff.

Well i'm letting by side the wheels and tires for a while because:

My almost new fiesta has been refusing to work properly.

    The link is: http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...-Self-handling.

I will apreciate any useful tip or suggestion.

I'm so sad, this is my first traxxas, it's no the cheapest thing in the world and I would like to enjoy it for long time. Under propper conditions of course.

    Best regards everyone!
