More great tips. Thanks! (I had watched the vid's on the Pro-Line site, about painting ... but I didn't like the "soap and water" bit. I've used alcohol to prep for stickers, and such, on other surfaces ... but didn't know it would be safe on these bodies. Good one to know.

I should fire my photographer! :-)

I think I either picked the wrong paint or the soap/water prep is a waste of time. It is now chipping/flaking in several places.

I am ordering parts to rebuild my front Diff, and plan on ordering my bug body too along with a few other things. Can anyone enlighten me to what tires will raise my merv's center of gravity a bit. I have recently gotten addicted to "Big Air" jumps. I really like the look of the Summit tires on ksb51rl's bug! Do you guys have any other suggestions? Pics soon to come!

Bjoehandley - That is a great looking bug. Love the tires/wheels and black mat paint job. I assume that was painted on the outside of the body?

Here's that color before being buried under all that flat black

powerman how does that 1/18 crawler body fit the 1/16 chassis? how much modding or just hole drilling? I like the bug with engine better, I've got a 1/16 slash
