    Better tires?

I just purchased my merv and i run on all different terrains but alot of on road, im looking for an all around better tire and was looking at the response tires that traxxas makes premounted with dish wheels. on the road i run on the merv wheelies half the time and the other half it just spins out of the whole but i do like the fact that it doesnt flip in hard turns. If i install the response rims and tires will it give it better traction out of the hole on all surfaces? Also on asphalt because of the extra grip will it turn over instead of slide?

i've never run the response tires to be honest. for all around terrain incl asphalt (when i can't be bothered switching to my road rage), i use proline dirt hawgs. they are good on all terrain, not great in a specific area, they also have great tread life which make them a very good tire for people new to the hobby. not to mention they are popular tires within this forum

I like the ProLine Dirt Hawgs mounted ont he Traxxas 7171 Dish rims. These tires last forever on the MERV and are a decent compromise on all surfaces. I dont think their name fits them well though, IMO they do much better on pavement and grass than they do in dirt.

Wow! I never thought of that, and I'm just wondering - what kind of servos are those?

And what gearing are you running?

How do they compare to the stock Summit tires? Did you need to mod anything to use them on your Summit? They definitely seem like they'd be better for higher speeds and harder surfaces.

I love this servo, does it fit without mod?

i also run summit tires, and i have to say they work awesome! LOTS of grip, and extra ground clearence. granted, you have to gear way down, but i mostly use mine for offroad, so that doesn't bother me.

Do the HPI GT2 TIRES S fit on the Stock MERV wheels? Or do the HPI 2.2" Warlock wheels fit on the MERV? Or do I have to modify some stuff in order to fit the GT2 tires on the MERV?
