So I have been looking at getting a Jato 3.3 for a while now. I have decided to buy it piece by piece, most off EBAY. And start putting it together over the winter.
What upgrades do you guys suggest be done? What upgrades did you guys do?

Its going to cost you ALOT to build it piece by piece. Better off buying a roller or a cheap RTR and just upgrading as you go.
I don't know. It gives me something to do over the winter when its -30 - -40 degC.

So I have bought almost everything off of EBAY, just missing a couple parts.
Major one is the engine and that's about it.
What upgrades go you guys recomend, and what ones did you find you needed to do?
I got the front and rear swaybars, I don't know if the Jato 3.3 comes with those stock or not.
Your comments are appreciated!!!!

are you actually looking to put all traxxas upgrade parts on your jato? in that case, you might end up paying almost $500 on your r/c
Sooo.... Im getting toward the end of the build. I am having a problem with the steering servo. Is there a trick to installing the linkage on to the servo horn? I don't see bow it is to be done.
Once the servo in in there is just not enough room to put it on let alone make sure it is centered.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Easiest way is to remove the front end by removing the 4 or 6 screws(cant remember which) on the bottom of the chassis. The front then slides out making it easier to center your steering.
Ok I am a little confused here. The linkage that goes onto the servo horn for the steering has a arrow on it. Which way dose it point. Up, down, right or left?

From memory, it points up.
Here's how I installed mine:
1. Make sure the servo is set in it's centre position.
2. Took the front end off.
3. Put the servo horn on
4. Held the front end back onto the chassis, while using the remote to see if it works.
5. If it wasn't set up right, I would just move the horn.
Thanks!!!
Would you be able to help with another problem.
How do I run all the wires to the receiver? I have never seen one up close all put together.

There's little routing holes in the top chassis. They allow the plugs to fit through into the receiver box.
Black connector goes into the receiver, one the reds is to power the rx, servos, and the other is to charge the receiver pack in case you are running a rechargeable one, to difference between the two reds, just plug the batt pack on any, and if it power the rx, that's the one. It is easier if you remove the top chassis, and run all the wires.

Where do you actually run the wires. You wouldn't happen to have a picture of a completed Jato so I can see do you?
