Alternate bodies

I wanted to start this to see what bodies you guys would like to become available for this car. The stock body is awesome as it is, but it has been badged as a supercar.

My pick- Bugatti Veyron 16.4

Well the stock body appears to have been inspired by the veyron already.

But gt2 sized bodies ought to fit it, mean you could run a corvette, mercedes... maybe others.

I'd like to see a wide body, then stick some wider tires/rims. If it doesn't come out I'm going to make it myself.

A 1969 camaro body would be sweet.

How do the wheel base and track width compare to that of an ofna GTP-2? That would be its closest competitor in terms of size and there are bodies out there that fit it so it might give you something to search for.

69' Camaro is my all time favorite muscle car but the stock body looks so sweet on the XO-1 right now I just have a hard time thinking about anything else on it.

My "Perfect" car is a 1969 pro touring camaro, mini-tubbed with at least 335 tires in the rear.

The XO-1 body is just a beautiful design - however, I think it would be sooooo intense looking with flared out fenders, deep dish rims - rims/tires about 3 inches wide. Hey, this has to hold me over until I get my camaro.

The only problem I would see with a different body is that the cars aero was designed around the body shape.Wonder what any aftermarket body would do to the downforce at the higher speeds.

I would love if this body came in the 1/16, I would snatch it up right away! I would love to see a Ford GT, Aston Martin Vanquish, oh the list goes on and on!

Other bodies might be cool, but I am sure they did allot of testing in a with this body so it would stay on the ground doing 100Mph. I would hate to be the first one on my block with a $1000 wingless airplane. LOL

ksb, darn you man! I'm liking the Aston too. If I had regular access to someplace to run them, I could get into this on-road stuff.

You bring up a good point. Won't know for sure until we have the XO-1 and a new body in our hands. And then run it at 100mph with the new body to know with certainty. haha

If i made mods to this, such as widening it, I would not use that set-up to do 100mph runs. But I see this car as being way more than just a drag-strip car. I expect it to corner and power-slide like no ones business.

Me too... I've thrown a front wing, slash body, buggy wheels on a ERBE and it just claws the pavement.

This design should turn the downforce up to 11. I expect it to hang corners like nothing we've seen before.

Exactly! And you do not need much room for that. Most parking lots will do.
btw, I just got my new ERBE yesterday ($629 from Stormer) and I have 40 series Road Rages for my pavement set up.

Or since this baby is so fast, and i heard it has a flux capacitor i think a 1982 Delorean DMC12 body would be Perfect!
just have to avoid lightning strikes w/ that body....

You know, I have t go with the Ford GT (I like the GT40, but the GT is just too pretty!), but at the same time, seeing something like an AC Shelby Cobra would just be amazing! Sure, the roadster aspect may be tough for a lexan body, but it would be so cool! If that is too hard, how about one of the sexiest cars ever made......The Shelby Daytona!!!! Mmmmmm.....(drooling...).

Its longer. The wheelbase is almost 4" longer than the gtp2 and almost 2" longer than the kyosho gt2. I have the gt2 corvette c6 here for my erbe-gt build so wednesday night i was taking measurements and getting dissappointed that it wouldnt fit. When i saw the initial release video i was hoping it was on a modified erbe chassis so i could use the vette shell if i bought this. But at 27" long with a 16" wheel base it is larger by far.

I want to get this thing sideways. I've already spec'd out 3" wide F1 super soft tires, rims and hubs. Just need to convert the axle stubs to 8mm. I'll form the fender flares myself.
