can i use nicd batteries instead of nimh?

can i use nicd batteries instead of nimh battery packs? is there a big difference, what will happen to my truck if i do switch the batteries?

Sure, you can use nicad. But they are generally lower capacity than nimh.

my nicad packs that i have that are new last longer than my nimh batteries. the only thing is they will retain a memory effect after some time. should be fine as harry697 mentioned to use.
