Hi, i have broken 2 stock revo headers at the base. Is there any ideas for a stronger one?

Went to spring mount headers a long time ago, havent broke one since.......

If you use another stock header, ive had good luck with not having the coupler too tight. And give it a little space betwwen the header flange and the pipe. Worked for me until I changed pipes.

I put the Revo platinum header on today and LOVE it. Now it comes with two washer's. I used both. It also comes with a ring that you put the spring on to hold header to motor. I did NOT use that. It has to be cut down a tad and I have no way of doing that. The header it self has holes in it for a spring. I figured one less part to deal with. It works PERFECT. A MUST HAVE !

i cut the ring down on mine and fitted it to mine, it was pretty easy. only took a minute. having it on allows you to attatch 2 springs which in my opinion is alot better

I USE to run without a body. One flip, no wait, two flips, NOPE, three flips and did NOT land as planed. I drilled a hole in the body for my low speed needle, One thing is for sure I ordered two of them. Should have tomorrow.

Not bad I must say. However With this header I should not have a problem. I purchased three just to be safe. At 12 bucks each not bad. Here is my NEW header with two springs. I cut the bottom off the header collar. Fit's perfect.

I never run my RC's without the body on them anymore... I even tune with my mody on, carefully drillied holes just large enough for my tuning driver...

Last time I did a car pulled out of it's driveway when I was testing something and pretty much totaled most of it.... If the body was on chances are it would have had much less damage...

I'm the same way as of now. does this look right? It has not been damaged, just looks off???

Yeah it does, but it'll be right. The springs absorb a fair bit of the flex

Yours is for sure misaligned. The platinum even after modding never worked for me. The thing always leaked. I even used 3 header springs.

well thats what the bodys for!! to protect the car i landed of a 50 foot jump on the body and the body busted beyond repair but the truck survived

What he said. If you run the stock header don't torque it down like a head bolt. Just snug it up so it can flex a little. Torquing it down is what causes them to break because it no longer flexes with vibration or hard landings.
