Finally Finished My 1st Slash Makeover..

Wow this was a crazy project... Between trying to work on it after getting off work
and taking care of my 9 month old son I thought i never finished it. LOL For
my first makeover i wanted to do the MT slash conversion. You know it gets
so frustrating when you have no clue on what your doing or if your doing it right.
I guess thats why they call it a learning experience. But after your done its so
overwhelming with joy that you'll do it again. Some of the paint didn't come
out like i wanted it to but im very happy with the end resolts. I also want to
THANK some of the guys here for there advise and solutions.

HPI phaltLine with the Tremor wheels 5.5 tall 3.wide 17mm they are hugh i got them off ebay
as a combo set. when i first got them in the mail i was like WOW.. i hope these fit LOL
The only thing i had to do was Gear down from 20/52 to 16/52. took them out today
for the first time ant man do they sound and handle Great.

If you infact mean the Monster 2200, you will be wanting Traxxas part# TRA5626. This will bolt into the 2 factory holes in the chassis. Personally I am quite happy with it and think it looks rather good, unfortunately I did not receive the 2 secondary screws with mine to attach the On/Off Switch, so.. I just use 2 small Body Clips...

The MMP's (Mamba Max Pro) have a different ESC Hold Down, I believe it is called "Flappy" or something along those lines, many people on here have them. They can be found easily enough and I am sure people here can give you some feedback on it.

how did you mount esc?

I mounted the esc with 3m plastic velcro strip i got it at target it comes in a 3in strip
I cut it in half perfect fit for the bottom of the esc with the strc mounting plate on
Piece the other half bottom of the esc. Haven't had any issues very strong stuff and i had
Some bad wrecks. I tryed the double sticky tape but after the third wreck it popped off.
With the 3m i can remove it and put it back on..

It looks like you did a great job of putting it together! How does the dual fan setup work for you? With the stock setup, it would overload the VXL bec.

El sob the only reason i connected the fan was cause i thought with those huge
Tires it would make the motor run hot but since i geared down i don't even
Need it. Also funny things is when i first hook it up only one fan came on. But
When i hooked up my mini 3s 1300mah both fans came on. I ran it with one fan
Running didn'T have any issue with the Rig. So when im switching from one
3s to another 3 s i pop in the mini 3s for a few minutes just to cool it faster
