Roll cage broke last night so I took it off and decided to go through my spare parts and luck for me I found 4 short battery posts and I had a pack of 3mm nuts, so I took the tall body posts off and lowered the body. Also since the rear of the body was cracked wore through I decided to cut it and try to make the rear body line look decent.

Parts are ordered. Now to wait for them to arrive here in Kuwait, then I'll be hitting up the track a bit more since the weather is also starting to cool down.

Also has anyone looked into or done liquid cooling on there motors? I found a kit and just wondering if it actually works better than a fan and a heat sink especially in 115+ degree weather.

Quick question as well. I am looking at servicing both front and rear diffs what would you guys recommend running for diff fluid in hot weather with mild track use? I have read a couple threads already and everyone has said 200-500k fluid but I wanna know from you guys.

Most will suggest 50k front, 30k rear. I ran this for a while, handled great but diffed out too easy for my liking. Now i use 100k front, 50k rear.

As said above 50k front and 30k back but the highest I would go would be 80k front and 40-50k rear dude but maybe get a few and find the best for your driving style....peace

Yea me too. After seeing my sons slash with my old talons on. I need to get him new tires. All you need is a new body chassis and center drive shaft front and rear bumpers lol

Yes it was. Your post was an inquiry, not a statement and was treated 100% correctly.

Before disassembling my truck we had an MWR Event here on post that I participated in. Got $10 for 3rd place, let the other guys in 1st and 2nd duke it out since they were a 2wd Stampede and 2wd slash.

Got the box of parts I ordered in the mail today so after work I sat down and started to reassemble my truck with the new parts.

Installed a center diff with 54t spur and went to 13t pinion, old gearing was 20/52.

Also changed out the stock axles for some traxxas performance cvd shafts.

And finally swapped out the stock talons for some trenchers.

Alright I will probably try 45 out first.

I think the shock oil was due to be changed anyways this is how it looked when I drained the shocks. Been installed with the same fluid for 3 years.

Well I pulled the trigger and purchased a hcg slash chassis. I just have a feeling that the longer wheel base will be more beneficial at times. So now to figure out what body to get.

I haven't had mine out yet since I installed the new parts, and I am waiting to hear back from the company I ordered my parts from because they messed up my order.

Well I took it out for a bit tonight. The trenchers grab alot better than the talons did.

My slash chassis has been shipped. I wanted to get the 80's chevy body for it but the place I buy my parts from is sold out, so I might end up getting the 72 C-10 or the blazer.

Wasn't a fan of the 45wt in the shocks, so I drained them out and refilled with some 35wt. Got all the shocks done and settled and went to check rebounds found out one of my front socks has a blown diaphragm.

So back to rebuilding the shock which sucks cause my truck will be down for awhile longer.

Didn't go with the 35wt, I took the big bores off because they were not performing to my liking. Drained the stock shocks and refilled them with some 40wt. Will reinstall them in the next day or 2 and see how I like them.

Also been running the stock shocks on the truck since I got it, with racing and bashing.

My main issue with the big bores is that the rear springs had been over loaded causing them to sag really bad.

No I probably won't be using them. If i put after market shocks again, I'll probably be ordering some pro-line.

Decided to try mounting my GoPro on the 4x4 seems a little more complicated than mounting it on the 2wd.

Also my slash chassis came in the mail that I bought from a member on here. So I decided to start swapping parts even though I don't have a body to properly fit the chassis.

Got all my electronics swapped over just gotta figure out a way to remount my esc and the power switch.

Had to mod my current body a little to fit the chassis better. Now if only I had paddle tires I'd say it looks like a sand rail.

I just made a plate out of 3mm polystyrene. I use three screws to mount the plate to the chassis and some double sided tape to mount esc and receiver. Works great

The "waterproof" receiver box sucks anyway.

I don't mind if it's not water proof, it helps keep the super fine dust out over here though.
