Thumbs up Help Me Make Good Snow/Ice Tires Please 1/16 Slash

I have these crusty stock tires and I want to make them into snow/ice shredders

I've seen zip ties but these tires are too small and wheel doesn't spin with them on

I've seen the snow chains which are really cool but I don't want those

I was thinking stubby little nails or some corner brackets/L brackets, maybe some brackets and some nails

how would I get these to stay in place inside the tire??

    Really big washers and bolts.

Stand clear when they rip off and fly at your face at 100mph!!
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.

lol! what do you mean washers and bolts though? put nuts through and bolt them in place?

that's actually not a bad idea

I was looking for a strong glue but I like that better.. should work out perfect

if not oh well these tires are already ruined anyway

if it doesn't work out, what are some paddle tires that'll fit on the stock wheels?

I don't know if there are any paddles to fit that small of a rim.... doesn't mean they are not out there though.

    I was thinking...

    angle bracket
    tire
    big washer
with two bolts, nut on the inside.

    OR

    washer
    tire
    big washer
with a single bolt going from the inside out, creating a stud.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.

there aren't any paddles that fit the stock tires. there are paddles that are made by losi for thier mini t. they dont fit the stock wheels thou, the part # is 1165 from losi.... i think there was a thread a lil bit ago where someone used them on a mini slash but i dont recall what wheels he used.
i know the toyz has the tires but the wheels the recommend for them are out of stock

That stinks, the slash gets left out I don't want to use 1/18 wheels lol they're small enough as is..

the losi paddles are the only ones I found that would fit though..

well hope this tire thing works, thanks jimmie I'll see what kind of materials I can find

You could always try a reverse rivet? So the mushroomed end is on the tire tread. Do you know what i mean? It wouldnt be as severe as a nut and bolt or even some angle bracket but would supply added traction. As well as some sweet looking studs. Just a thought.

You could poke some roofing nails through the inside of the tire and then tape the tire so the nails don't slide out.
