I looked at buying one![]()
i stripped the rear diff the other day. tired of waiting for parts so i put front diff in rear, and drove it.
well I broke a wheel off my mini slash![]()

I opened mine, fried one battery (separate issue) and drove it for the first time and gave it some good road rash from flipping over![]()

Installed new rockers, shock sox, shimmed my rear diff, and dyed my chassis black!
I was thinking bout making a thread like this but wasnt sure bout how popular it would be. Should also include what parts you ordered for your merv!![]()
Just looked at the hundreds of pieces it is in and sighed...
Now I'm sorta working on it...more like hacking up a perfectly good chassis o_O
* "If it ain't broke, your doin it wrong" *
Why are you hacking up a chassis!?
Moving my ESC into the battery compartment, doing it really weird, so hopefully its never been done...lol
* "If it ain't broke, your doin it wrong" *
So your only going to be able to run 1 battery now? Wont that kill run times?
I've only ran 1 battery in the past so it wont bother me, plus the way im setting it up I will still have the option to mount the ESC stock ways and run 2 if I want. FTW

I just attempted to straighten my wheels out on my merv but im cockeyed so i need to invest in one of the RPM gauges.
got a new body filled shocks with 60wt custom paint took it all apart and cleaned waiting for traxxas to open in the am to guide me thru servo end point setup[IMG][/IMG]

ran my merv in the grass while being cut and learn i was about to overheat my motor and flipped over about 1/4 mile away. looks like i will be needing knuckles soon as i got so much wobble.
Living life.
just remembered i still had one and am now ordering a new set of rpm a arms for it. was considering buying a mini grave digger, just to see how 2wd on this style of car works out.
anybody know how front wheel drive works out on the rally?
Formerly known as "Wiggy Fuzz".
trying to fix my big block still not catching right with the gears, not the rear diff because its shimmed and not the front who knows!
press the any key... where is the any key....
front wheel drive would be like a car I suppose, if you ever drove a front wheel drive car, they handle great once you get used to them..
did you check your gearbox? if not the gearbox then it's probably your slipper clutch

hobby store peeps all agreed it was the rear diff so who knows.
press the any key... where is the any key....
I didn't do anything to mine except run it around the house.

I bashed through 2 sets of batteries in seires instead of parallel by accident
And i may or may not of just bought a BB for my merv![]()
Two sets of batteries, flipped it 10 times, jumped a bunch, cleaned it off, dried it up and wd40'd it. Sitting on the table beside me dying to go out again! TOO COLD
Installed a HR front bulkhead. Very easy install. The only hang up was needing to replace the 3x10 screws with 3x8. While I was at it I replaced the two stock bushings in the servo save with BBs.
I just bought 2 SPC 2500Mah 2S lipos for the BB i bought today.
hahah, right on korn!!

Haha thanks! Im happy knowing that its pretty much a finished project. If i break drive shafts then ill get CVDs but other than that i think itll be a good basher lol.
Erx4x4 that merv looks sick!
Keep em coming? WHAT ELSE have you done to your merv that your proud of?
I did some research on lipos today so i dont blow my MERV up with its new BB and lipos once i get them.
I parked mine against a curb with a respectable speed. Servo horn came lose which caused loss of steering. Damage was only a rod end. I am sure a stock one woundnt have survived that blow without breaking a bulkhead at least. Alu bulks and body mounts are proven to be useful.

I was thinking about aluminum bulk heads but i wasnt sure if they would make my merv too heavy.
