Modifided my chasis brace from t bone so the shocks will have full travel again

Here you go PDX. You can see from the pics it's a specialized mount. Had to slot one of the screws because it was stripped

those are sweet Maxx. Lucky find! So I emailed Exotek to ask if the mounts were still available and to ask why they discontinued them and here's what they said:

Yes they are sold out sorry.

Discontinued because people complained about the price, they were just ok sellers and there was not enough profit for how much they cost to make.

I'd like to show you guys what I did to my two mervs today but I haven't set up a photobucket account yet. Found a nice pump track to run my basher and just finished my race build (neu 1112/1y, MMP, 2x 2S in series, Gone Banana tires)

i had a merv and a big sharp meatle rod went into the esc so i got a new one and put it into the battery tray
worked fine never had a prob again
i sold it a week ago and i miss it so much

I broke my front right top A-arm yesterday. Already have RPM ordered but mail is taking twice as long to get here now because of budget cuts. So I crazy glued the A-arm back together. We will see how long that lasts. Hopefully until my RPM A-arms get here.

Had another great night of bashing at the local BMX track, a small rock made its way under the driveshaft cover and mayhem ensued.


A simple and cheap fix, I'll be ready to tear it up again very soon.

I ask because of the summit wheels i also use.
Atm i geared it down to 18/55. Temp gun Has been arrived today as well so i can Check some Setups.

I had luck and get some of the nice exoteks big bores.

New ntech LiPos arrived as well, Im interested in how the 65c-130c packs will Run =) gonna Check this tomorrow. =D

Masking tape and colours are beeing ordered for a New Body in blue, Black and White.

I tied my merv to the tow package of my truck and smoked the tires. Ideas ideas when you have a week off work. I also taped my Roid rage tires before I burnt the tread off

Rebuilt an old MERV using a brushed system as a training vehicle for my son yesterday. Gotta go through setting up the ESC today & start teaching him throttle control

Looked at mine wishing it had an ESC in it so I could play with it.(broke as heck right now).

It's been run for a total of about 45 seconds...then I pulled the esc out to finish my daughters Merv so she would have something to play with.

I was doing fine w/o it until I drove hers a few days ago...now I have the itch to get mine going.

You need to replace those tie rods/toe links with g1/16 Grave Digger ones(they are green)...

Got my order ready for a new set of green arms, bumpers & rods, to go with a new lid & wheels. But I love the addition of the new colour. I just wish someone either did orange, or white so we can Rit dye those suckers any colour.

Edit: really dig the fade you've done on the paint job!

Got my new Hitec HS-85MG+ servo, 23t, 25t, 28t, and 32t pinion, 45t, 50t, 55t spur, front and rear RPM control arms, wheelie bar, new front and rear body mounts/posts, new slipper clutch, and LiPo battery bag. Just waiting for my new motor to come in now. Someone ordered right before me, so i should have it first week of sept,

Though no longer available as Exoteks, these shocks came out packaged as Yeah Racing DP-1001Ti and were a great deal for $25 considering the mounting options it came with. They are currently available as 3 racing SAK-48/pk & spring set SAK-49 for the Sakura Zero car.
I'm really curious about the mounts you're using on your Exos.

Checked the tracking number 40 times to see if they have moved since last Friday... STILL IN NEVADA!! ARG!!!

I did get all (most) of my initial upgrade parts ordered. Surprisingly, my LHS has most of them AND better pricing than online vendors. I guess they ARE an online vendor too... But with same day service.

I run two Orion carbons 2s 2200 in series for 4s street runs and TRX 3s 1400 in parallel n the dirt. I don't change anything other than the batteries n ride height. I stay gear at 39/45. However I run a Castle MMP w/ Tekin 4000kv Pro4.

Both MERVs have arrived, and I also got my first batch of parts. I have the (stock nimh) batteries charging now. Probably hide them from the kid until I can get some of the upgrades done. Then again maybe not

Pics are uploading now. Both cars ran well.

I do have some concerns. The rear wheels on my son's car are toe'd in. The wheels wobble when spinning. Maybe that is normal, but I didn't expect it. Also, I had to trim the steering to extreme to get it to drive straight - one all the way right, and the other all the way to the left.

I have started doing the upgrades - steel balls and aluminum retainers for the pivot balls. I have the shims for the differentials. Also have the GPM steel driveshafts, shock oil and springs for tuning. Will run 2S in parallel in both cars when they get back in stock. Roller bearings for the rockers and aluminum valve bodies with screw on bottom caps. Also want to get some more ground clearance for running in the grass (although it did pretty well today). Larger tires and wheels I know... The rest I need to figure out.

Should be fun!

I've got the aluminum ball caps on, as well as the steel balls in the suspension joints. I converted the rear shocks to the HR aluminum bodies, with 70W oil and pink springs. Moved the black springs to front, but haven't put the aluminum bodies on the front yet. Also shimmed the front diff... Has a tight spot in it, but should wear in fine. Still need to shim the rear diff and put aluminum bodies up front. Also need to mount antenna somehow under the body.

Shopping for rims and tires to give some more ground clearance. Also looking for a unique body for it.

Tonight's damage report: stripped tooth off gear in servo and shattered front bulkhead. Slammed into curb.

Picked up new front bulkhead from LHS as well as steel balls for the kid's car. Also ordered the newly in-stock SPC batteries.

I also ordered a few SPC batteries. Gonna need them for my CC SV3/1406 5700kV setup.
