I was thinking about converting my revo 2.5 to a slayer. But is it worth it,how much will it cost and what parts do I need?.Thanks.
pretty much everything from your chassis to your wheels minus the axle carriers. and if you going to just a slayer or slayer pro. and think when i priced the stuff to convert mine to a revo from a slayer pro
I didnt think it would be that hard.
yea its not hard at all, pretty easy task. youll have to mess with your gearing seeing its set up for the bigger tires.
Woot I found it! This was my little chart was thinking about doing this to my revo 2.5r. This is what it will cost according to the slayer manual but e-Bay will drop it alot. I've seen 3.3 chassis for 10-15$.
And for the spur gear and clutch bell since the revo tires are bigger was going to try and gear them for the smaller tires. Instead of getting a new slayer transmission don't know if it will work tho.
Then I searched craigslist and ebay to try to find a used slayer pro for 250$ and found mine for 350$ with all the upgrades I wanted + more for 350$.
I'm not sure if this is everything or too much stuff but I'm pretty sure it's correct.

oh for the suspension rod's there called
"5918 Push rod (steel) (assembled with rod ends) (2) (use with
progressive-2 rockers) .................................................. ..................... $7.00"
front and backs are the same and they come with 2 but you need 4
and the other ones are called
"5939 Turnbuckles, toe links, 72mm (2) (assembled with rod ends and
hollow balls) .................................................. ..................................... $9.00"
they are the same part # for front and back
They both come in a pack of 2 but you need 4.
