Shelf queen or basher?

This one will be a shelf queen. Not to worry though, Im collecting parts for a runner/basher as well.


Thanks Wildman. Im going to leave the wheels silver, but they do look great in purple and it would go better one my truck in purple I think. Im not going to have anything on this truck or my next one (purple emaxx) anodized, but Im going to have a third one where Im going to do my own color scheme and have everything anodized different colors.

I thought I had found a purple set of wheels, not hardcore, but still looked great. Turns out they weren't MT size so Im sticking with the silver HCR wheels for now. I will still be looking for purple HCR wheels though

Thanks everyone for all the comments, it means a lot to me that other people are liking the build.

Not sure on the motor yet, there so many options available I will decide on that last.

The jack was given to me by a friend. I don't believe that they make them anymore, but there is 2 on the bay, but the price is a little high IMO.

I got a HCR silver trans today. Purple would be Ideal, but this will have to do until I can find purple. I've only ever seen one. Also got some new shocks. I need yalls opinions on if I should use the purple ones or stick with the silver Progressives.

whatch those fingers cleaning those rims. man mine had some sharp edges. cut right threw the towel and into my finger cleaning them. but that truck is sooooooooooooo nice love those rims better than mine

Loving the progress man. The truck is nice either way, but I believe that the purple shocks work better than the silver ones. There is a lack of purple in the a arm area overall and I think those give it just enough contrast to look good. I can't tell from the pics, but if those springs are also purple you could switch them to the silver shocks and it would look great too, but they kinda look black instead.

I have one that might suit your build if you're in a pinch. Its not HCR though,
unfortunately.

Wildman, that was a lot of stuff to take and then bring most of it back. It was as much as I could fit in my car. The purple rims were cool. I bought them thinking they would be MT size, but then they should up and were 12mm hex.

Thanks Wildman I found two skids online. One has two notches on the the part the goes up and the other only has one big notch.

As a new Nitro/Traxxas user, it doesn't take a person of knowledge or history to see that this build is one of a kind! I am amazed at how awesome this is going! I look forward to seeing the rest of the build and hope it all goes well!
