    dts-1 & wifi?

    optional plug-in wifi module required? what is the extra cost?

    can some one explain what it all does?
    do we know what batterys it uses?

    The details are still a bit sketchy considering it's not been released yet... I'm pretty sure it's a separate module that allows it to be connected to a WiFi network so that others can be able to connect to the DTS-1 and get E.T.'s and other data....

    How about 10 yrs.... This is a hobby that constantly evolves.... The TMAXX is a great example of this... It's been out how long? People are still finding things to do to it...

    In order to keep everyone in suspense Traxxas does not let out a lot of info all at once when they announce something new. In fact they are very tight lipped about anything new or up coming... They like surprises.... So do I.

    No, what I meant it totally the opposite, is that they announced too many nice things lately, and then they keep us waiting from 6 months to 1 year until we can buy them... Like the green parts for the Grave Digger stampede, the lights for it too or for the 4x4 Stampede, or the still missing in action, the functional light bar for the 1/16 Summit... I'm a patience guy, but, I can't wait 1 year to have an accessory for a truck after it's announced like it's ready to buy... And, what makes me mad is that I can't have a straight answer from PeterV about this things... I prefer an honest answer "we're behind schedule", or "we have other priority cool projects" or "will be available soon", but he chosses to give me the silent treatment...

    I've been having a great time with mine. Stand alone it was easy to use. Connecting it the app was a little more involved but there is a page in the DTS support area that walks you through it. Pretty cool.

    Is there a wifi application yet? I would like everyone to be able to see the results, or have it on a large TV at the start line.

    The Wifi module was never released. To use a larger tv for display, you could use an Apple TV box (~$100) and link the device you have connected to the controlling TQi to the Apple TV via wifi.

    Alright, I bought one and started to learn it today. Still need a few more hours figuring out the Link App, but its working very well for what I need.



    If anyone from Traxxas knows if there is an additional Light System that hooks up to the RS232 port, please let me know.

    My Bluetooth is working very well. Just having an iPad at the timing booth table will be good enough.
