I want to go 60 without mamba motor (slash 2wd)

slash 2wd here and I want to beat my brothers Losi speed nt. I'll swap my motor and speed control for the vxl3 the 130 dollar swap cause the mamba is too much , will I get high speeds ?

Put it on 3S, gear it to the moon (really-- gear it as high as you possibly can)and don't make more than 2-3 passes without stopping to let it cool down. The body is going to be a problem, but if you run it topless, or put a buggy body on it, you can easily be into the 60s or 70s.

vxl set up will give you what you want with the right gears. watch your temps with a 3s though. at least 30-40c 3s will help i think with temps. i read somewhere that higher discharge rate will give you slightly lower temps than low discharge.

Here is my ANZA Slash/Raptor geared 26/86 with Proline Street Fighter tires. I couldn't get past half throttle and when I did it flipped it. I am running a ProMatch 3s 5200 50c. The school parking lot was not long enough to get much past half throttle. When going for speed you need a lot of room. Enjoy!!!

Most tracks will not allow 3s, only 2s batteries. FYI. 3s is ridiculous power for the track let alone the streets.

I agree with cbrs, 3s is just too much for anything but big oval racing. G
Get a good wheelie bar for those speed runs so you'll be able to keep the front on the ground.
And get a temp gun so you'll know how hot you're running.
