2075 Servo: 2 months and still survive?

So I am losing my patience since my stock 2075 servo is still going strong after 2 months of uses.

I am just kidding, but seriously, the micro servos on the mini summit and e-revo went bad after just a few days. I replaced with stock servo at least 2 times and had to wait for almost 2 months for metal servos.

So when I bought my Slash 4x4, I also bought a new Hitec servo at the same time, water-proof it, and expect the stock servo going bad quickly.
    Can't wait any more

What is your experience with 2075 servo?

The 2075 is rock solid and will last a long time. People use them in scaler trucks, so they get bound up in rocks and roots and get submerged and they keep on ticking! Put in your Hitec and sell the 2075.

On my Slash 4x4, through all its different iteration and versions: 28 months and still going strong. I killed one quickly in my Summit by not paying ANY attention to the familiar buzzing. Silly and embarrassing, but true. My own fault, not the servo's.

I've gotten years of use out of mine on other trucks: 2wd slashes, Pedes, Rustys... they last but they sure are ugly.

Thats why I dyed mine. Dye doesn't take as well as the chassis but midnight blue is better than Traxxas blue.

I only use the Traxxas servo. It has done me well. If you want to upgrade your servo, by all means go right ahead

I think the 2075 is the contrary of the 2080. Fit for the job. Both the 2075 ones in the house here are still working great.

I love the servo too but i did just bust mine in the middle of a race. Wish they would come out with a metal gear kit for the traxxas servo.

I didn't think about dying it... That light blue is so ugly to my eyes.

i read in a fourm and i wish i could remember which one becuase it would be a awesome servo with metal gears. that you could use a futaba metal gear kit and it would fit in th 2075 without any mods.

Just got a new 2075 servo on ebay for $20 because my ..........Hitec HS-645MG servo (came with a used truck, not sure how old it was) died on my pede 4x4 today
I am still impressed with this plastic gear 2075 servo
it's been 5 months on a 7.5 pounds Slash MT, and is still going strong
