what gearing for mamba monster 2200 kv ?

hey guys what gearing do i need to reach top speed and if u know how fast u think i can on 5s or 6s u think thanks

i had mine at 18/54 and on 6s with race slicks i hit 72 and with 3.8 badlands i hit 53 but they where pizza cutters at that point. motor and esc never got hot for me.

im sure with the right setup yes you could. i just didnt have a bigger pinion and my cheapo tslicks where ballooning at that speed

Should be capable of more than 90 mph without a body and street slicks

Running 6s lipo geared 20/50 is theoretically good for 90 mph

Be prepared to catch it as it flies through the air though

People have hit 80 with the smaller 1415 (2400kv) sized motor on only 4s, no reason why not

3s=is good
4s=is great
5s or 6s=ridiculous you will need a lot of upgrades to hold your truck at one piece, and a good set of tires.

I'm running 22/50 on 4s and it's stupid fast and breaking parts. Had to order mip's for the front and rear.

not really true unless your going all out max full throttle starts everytime .. my 4x4 is stock everything except for 1/8 tires and running 2200 on 6S with 18/52 cracked 69mph with a summit body on it , just installed 22t pinion and hopin for mid 80's .. except for a plastic shaft here or there only upgrade I had to buy to get to 70mph is a velcro strap to hold the 2 3S batteries together

I run stock driveshafts and have run over 80 mph

Speed runs on tarmac do not require plenty of upgrades, gets boring after a while though

My 2400 on 4s is now easily hitting 65 on 20/50 besides getting a bit hot.
Your 2200 should not even breath heavy at 70 on 6s

Throwing 3 or 4 foot rooster tails in the dirt is great fun when speed runs get boring!!

What tires you guys running for speed runs? I have trenchers for offroad and I still have the stockers to toy around with, just wondering what tires besides the xo-1's hold up to the 80mph+ speeds. Also if I decide to get the xo-1's at some point will the 17mm adapters be all I need or are there other things I need to get them on?

XO1 tires should hold up to crazy speeds, they require fitment of the TRX 17mm adapters if using the XO1 wheels

I used Proline Streetfighters but they start to fall apart at those sort of speeds

Streetfighters. I taped mine. They dont balloon at all. Good traction when its warm out. Cold weather they stink

Dont they have the Traxxas Hex imbedded in the wheel so that is not possible ?
