My water cooled slash

I am planning on doing the same thing to my 1/16 scale e-revo when i upgrade to Mamba Max Pro. Instead of adding a radiator, i will be mounting this to the body posts:

And i will fill that with ice. I will put the intake area of the pump through the bottom, and the warm water will come through the top , becoming cooled by the ice. i feel it will be more stable and less finnickey than the radiator method.

any thoughts???

I have the stock reciver on the vxl 16 merv, and i dont know much about the electrics of this project. What do i buy to attach the pump to the reciver, will it supply enough volts on my 2s lipos (7.4 v.), and would it just be easier to attach the pump to a 9v battery? would it work???

I suggest use a radiator(or something similar) because I dont think is very eficient use a bottle with ice cubes because every run you need to refill with more ice cubes and What happen if the water from the bottle is warm? There isnt a cooling system, you are using hot water for heat the motor. Just my suggestion
About the pump:
I am using a 12v pump and rigth now is working with just 6v( from the reciever)and is working perfect

I was reading some threads in others forums and I saw some Traxxas ESC with blown capacitors so I was thinking add an extra capacitor. (Like the people who have the spartan with the Castle Creations-Traxxas ESC Link here) for remove some stress to the stock capacitors...

What is a Glitch Buster and what does it do?

the glitch buster

it is pluged into the reciver and basicaly stors a small amount of power.
so when the stering servo truns or there is a high load going throught the reciver it lets the small amount of power go .
to minimize brown outs ,system shut offs

10/4, copy that... Now I understand....The capacitor helps/provide voltage stabilization if there is excessive voltage drop from the receiver when steering, using lights or other accessories etc from the bec so to minimize any brown out....Duh!!!!

Good idea at that... Had not heard to do that before....

I was thinking how to use my VXL ESC but with my modded chassis (I had to modify because of my MMM ESC) so I used zip ties but is a waste because I want use my MMM ESC and I need to cut them and then again zip tie my ESC...So I used velcro

I suggest the HR gearbox because the consistent cooling with/without the water cooling system and cheap compared with others gearbox...

i think its cool but it seems to me that you will not need it beacuse with the fans and the water pump runing all you have done is kill your run time. so if you run those you louse run time in turn the motor will not get as hot.lol but cool none the less.

If you want to do something different to cool the engine, and have all the time and materials... It worth the time...

Here are some hobbyshops... (few but there are) and sell the Lipo the triple of the price ....BUT I can buy LiPos online and they send it to here. Is called "Courier" and IT WORKS .... I already have 2 2S 4500mah LiPos but I haven't the chance to test it because I tested the Lipos With the Mamba Monster and that "little" motor on 4s broke my diff ring because I forgot adjust the slipper clutch

I wouldnt do this myself, especially since I can get the 30 degrees in cooling from an all alum gearbox, but it is still a neat creation. Its alittle on the frankenstein side of things But I think this could be a prototype for ya, and next round you could clean it up real good. Make it look nice.

But either way, keep doing your thing, and enjoy yourself.. Weight, cost, blah blah.. Point is your building something, and doing something creative. Your using your mind to get away from lifes daily grind.

Well....Yes and No

I was ruining With NiMh first and I Adjust the slipper clutch very tight because It was slipping a lot and the NiMHs doesn't have that punch like the LiPos, It start very slow and then it gain some speed....When the NiMHs died I tested the LiPos for the first time, fully charged and for see how much punch the Lipos has, I hit the throttle and it just fly (With the slipper clutch still tight because I forgot adjust it) and then it make a weird noise but then it finished, so I though it was ok but then after check the temp of the motor, I touch the throttle and the motor start to spin but the car didnt move at all...After that I think the slipper clutch was loose but I remember it was Tight and then I thought in the Diff....
