so i am trying to save money for a car/pickup so im trying to not spend any money on my merv until then. i just broke my spoiler today and i had some plastic laying around so ive started cutting it up and am making a spoiler out of it.
what do u think i should add to it? im adding the back lip so it wears down less doing wheelies. sides? another layer at the rear? what about something around the screws to prevent tearing them up when its sliding upside down on cement? any ideas?
Maybe cut out some small design in it...? I like different and custom so its a win in my book. Saving/being broke helps come up with good ways to rig and custom "fab" stuff![]()

Maybe make a bracket and angle it a bit
i was kinda thinking the same 50. what do u mean by a bracket?

Bend a small piece of metal so the wing angles a bit for downforce
what if i heated it and then bent it into a curve shape, then glued sides on to that to hold it there better
Another function of a wing is to provide lateral stability via fins. You could put fins on the side to assist at high speeds.
Start with a stick pack and work your way up, kid
Problem with heating it up ,I think the heat will harden it and make it more brittle.
adding anything to it will just break first crash
well when heating the stock spoiler it softens it up. i dont mean with a flame, i mean boiling/hot water
this is how i have it so far

custom made parts always +10 and my respect
gonna follow this threath
Xtreme has no limiits
i think im going to leave it this way unless i add something sloped to increase some down force
Looks great!!! If u need more ideas google "spoiler" and look at some images.. It would be pretty cool to see some real car style spoilers custom built for the merv.. Might build up a customer base lol!
Whatever I just said.. I'm probably wrong..
actually i did that last night for ideas
edit: but theres almost too many ricers i get sick of looking haha

should i make that out of plywood too?
Plywood heck no! Can u say heavy haha
I made a few out of aluminum and they hold up great and can be polished. Easy to work with also.
Slash 4x4 brushless
Slash 2wd brushless
yea why would you boil the spoiler what effect does it have?
boiling the wing make it more flexible
Xtreme has no limiits
i dont think im going to boil it as i used tire glue to put it together
