nothing much to update at this moment but i did another wheelie video part 2.

dont you guys hate it when your body rubs the chassis and take the paint away....now you have some clear spots that need to be painted over...so what i did is tape (gorrila tape) the part where it rubs onto the body.

well, here i am again....thinking of building another REVO-E but this time i'm going to chop the revo chassis in half then put this ofna MT truck chassis. no transmission involve here, just center diff with electric conversion mount attached the center diff. wish me luck guys
![]()
that chassis looks smaller than the revo does on the width and lenght. build another yah.![]()
man that body of yours is nice. what brand of paint did you use and color? i might want to pick that up later on.
Living life.
hahahha i did too use the grey ducktake on all of my onroad body then, i found out about the gorilla tape and how good it is so why not use it lol.
first i layed out my design lol then, i apply blue first then peeled off the tape for stripe then apply white (just at the section where the stripe is going to be) and then peeled off another tape the X bar at the rear then apply black paint all over to cover everything black.
i like the way the body shines most of all top dollar on thatmight have to have you paint me a body sometime might be for my e revo 1/16 since there cheaper than emaxx bodie and i have 2 emaxx bodies right now.
Living life.
its soo shiny like that the moment you remove the protective layer lol. anyway this is me going 45mph on a 25mph zone lol. watch out kids mad RC coming thru...

ooh so it doesnt stay like that even if you dont roll it? nice pics, i get that look too hear running my rc at 30ish in the parking lot, i dont hold down full throttle though not enough room
Living life.
i mean its still gonna be shinny but once you wipe it, then you'll start seeing scratches.
you know, when i call RRP company to complain about the tranny metal gears set (revo 3.3 wide gear) that there has been a mistake, one gear is not right....so they send me the right one with 4 shims included and i'm thinking this shims look like i can use it to shim my diffs, so i open up my rear diff yesterday, put one on...test for play...need one more...test for another play seems like it need one more...test it again and its just about right, so 3 shims total. i'm about to do the front now, better do this now or be sorry later hahahhaa.
see them shims, 6 comes with the gears set and 4 with the replacement gear

Sounds right mate![]()
Rock n Rolla !
Check this out for some useful info mate. See Post #157
Always get a 2nd Opinion!
yeah i've seen craig's LS2 diff mod mate and its an awesome mod. maybe one day i'll be able to do this mod too but, for now i'll stick with the stockers....with the proper shims, i should be fine and i'm only running 4s.
i was having a blast yesterday at the park spending family time with my wife and kids playing at the playground with them and also to myself.....of course... i brought both my RC (boat & truck). first, i run the spartan, i forgot how fun that was to run this boat, this is like my 3rd run since i own it, it lasted me a good 15 or so minutes run before the LVD kicks in then after that i run my REVO-E.
and for 87 GN, that single 4s finaly awaken....i notice a good burst in every open throttle and it lasted me a good run time of 35 mins,.....just thought you might wanna know.

I did have the chance to open up my front diff today for shimming...... since the rear take 3 shims i figure i'll put the same amount of shims. close it up and test it for any binding....as i rotate it, certain part of it get a little tight but the rest is spot on..... should i be worry about that little tightness? i have everything put all together now and did test run it and it seems to be OK.
I always test my diff by grabbing each drive axle between my thumbs and rotate that way. I give a gentle flick with my free fingers; that's how I test for binding. I could never get the Traxxas diffs as smooth as the Losi diffs. I suppose as long as most of the play has been eliminated from the pinion you should be alright. Whwn shimming my diffs, one would always take more than the other.
Did you try shimming the ring gear and diff cup?? You need 8mm and 10mm I think...

Would you go flip my truck back over??
OK i think i narrow it down to which one i'm going to build next, (scratch whatever i have posted above). i dont think anyone here that i know has ever done it on this platform. Slayer-E GT, now i know 2 ppl did the e-revo GT but, not with aluminum chassis. a very good friend of mine here gave me his tekno electric conversion kit along with the 4s lipo <----exactly identical 4s that i have now, he also gave me the slayer a-arms, toelinks/pushrods amd driveshafts. i have already order parts off ebay today like the chassis, knuckles, bulkheads, steering bellcrank and set of revo screws. i have a rebuildable diffs, just need a gasket, I beam and revo diff case.
Hmmm, same here. Guess great minds like alike!Yeah man...I've been doing that for sometime now. Works wonders
By Slayer-E GT, do you mean a on road electric Slayer? If so, that would be really cool!![]()
Is owning 27 RC's too many? No way!
*Picturing image in head* Wow, that would look awsome! Good idea!yep, thats right. picture my REVO-E with slayer a-arms and a onroad body, lol![]()

smooooth, I like.......
fits the slayer?? correct..
Would you go flip my truck back over??
looking at Cameron's GT build the wheel well on his ERBE gt is a tad bit long for the body, the aluminum chassis is a bit short so i'm just guessing it by the picture. lol
i dont know if I should continue this build on here or open up a new thread, and if i open a new one where should i start?
just leave it here...that way i don't have to bounce around to see ur builds...yeah u've got a follower in me...
yeah you got a point there IvVaum, its staying here. once i have all the parts gathered, then i'll post some pictures.
Your doing an on road build thats awesome i cant wait for this one keep us posted!!!!!

parts should start coming in the mail anyday of this week, perfect timing for my vacation next week![]()
thanks mate, i figure that parking lot i go run my REVO-E wants me to run a real onroad car and not just a monster truck with onroad tires lol.
its funny how people react when they drive by the parking lot and see my RC truck doing wheelies from end to end that they cause traffic and i have to stop running it for them to keep going lol.
anyone here ever tried the XO-1 17mm hexes, does it eliminate the wobble? it looks like it has a threaded insert that screw into the stub axle.
so far i got 2 things in the mail today, my chassis and 1/8 scale body. i cant believe how big the body is, my platinum body fit inside with lots of extra room left, lol.
here are some of the pictures:
i'm going to mount the transmission lower and support it with underchassis.
