P.S. If there is anything that I did not upgrade that is going to break alot with extreme bashing, PLEASE TELL ME!! I want to make this as complete the first time as I can, lol.

This is how it started it's life:

Then the engine seized up after only using it for about ten minutes. Then I almost sold in to get a certain other truck......but instead I decided to build a bulletproof revo!!

This is how I keep track of my screws:

I will be running all of my wires as clutter free as possible. This thing is going to be awesome!! More to come as I start the reassembly process and dying of the chassis as it is going black!!

Here is the first updates!! My motor mount and plate are painted black:

I sanded down my motor mount where the mount meets the motor for better fitment and for heist dissipation:

This is the slipper and spur I am using:

    Pic of the pads on:

    All mounted up:

Here is my motor mount bolt mod, I highly recommend going with the nut and bolt route versus a screw as it will eliminate any motor flex much better.

    All installed and lookin' sexy:

This is my good body with some stickers smacked on it:

This is my basher body. The windows will soon be cut out and screen put in to keep thinks out:

I am really big on having it look as clean as possible, so this is how I am running my servo wiring:

Forgot to include this earlier, but this is my wing:

This is how I am running my antenna wire as I think it looks and works the best here. I superglued the piece that the acorn nut screws onto inside of the lid so it actually screws on and off like factory. The tube will be black when finished:

Thats all for today, I am still waiting on more pieces before I can start the rebuild. Enjoy!!

It doesn't have low lock but it is sensored so it can to a degree. I thought about putting a two speed in it but I don't think it would be able to handle the 6s beating I am going to give it.

Picked up a few more parts today:

GPM Racing Front Bulkhead Tie Bar (Would have been Hot Racing but theirs only comes in blue )
Integy Silver Pivot Ball Caps (I know, bad brand, but they seemed like the best caps)
    Dubro Black Antenna Tube
    Hot Racing Double Up Slipper
2nd Set of Hot Racing Long Graphite Pads for the new slipper
Black Hot Racing Aluminum Motor Mount
Hot Racing Aluminum Front and Rear Shock Mounts
    Black/Silver Braided Mesh Wire Cover
Dragonslayer Heatsink and Fan Combo (The Eagle Racing just seemed too puny for my taste, this one has a 2x2 fan)
    Red Bad Horsie Shock Covers

My diffs should be here around the middle of next week so the assembly process can finally begin!!

The build is almost done now, will have pics and video up soon, but I was wondering if the clutch wobbles for other people. I took a small video of it here, http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...l/4b600702.mp4

Take a look and see what u think please!!

Yes that is normal, pretty much all slipper clutches rotate in that way.
    Very nice project btw!

Thanks!! It's pretty sweet. The first time I took it out trying things out I popped two tires off the wheels running only in 3s lol. Then I hit a curb going about thirty and cartwheeled a few times and broke nothing. Then I did it again, stupid me, and popped a tierod off. That will teach me to do speed runs coming back towards me, lol. I built a pretty steep ramp to but I need purple springs first. With the rollcage it rides way too low for that yet.

That is what i thought to, but i was told the tranny was new, yet another surprise from buying a used revo. if you look closely though the middle shaft where the nut screws on never wobbles. is it maybe the bearing in the clutch itself?

The transmission in my Maxx does the same, so does my Slayer, I was told previously this was normal.
Should I check my transmissions also?

can you move the input shaft, (side to side) should not have much if any play.
bearing is about $1.00, I would change it & see......

    Update!!

I got a few pics of it all put together for everybody to look at . I didn't get to drive it much today as a solder came loose on the motor and I didn't have time to fix it, but I should be able to maybe get a vid tomorrow. I have some variable damping pistons, aluminum front rockers, purple springs, blue springs, and some tie-rod ends coming my way as well as the silver springs just aren't cutting it.

Anyways, I ran is on 6s for the first time today, and had the punch set to 80 and it was still a wheelie monster. I have about a block of road I can run it on and it was not enough room to open it up. As soon as I would get above about a half throttle the wheels would come up. Anywho, on to the pics!!

Took it out for a full battery finally. It ran really good, but I had a problem with the throttle staying engaged once i let off. I figured it was just because I hadn't calibrated the radio to the truck yet so I did that and I haven't had a chance to try it again yet. Was I correct in assuming thats the problem. It was also throttling on its own a little when I wasn't applying any. I changed the trim on my controller and that didn't help any either.

I'm starting to agree with u guys...although it really helps with wheelies so I'm a little torn. Any opinions on the radio thing?

What radio and reciever are you using ?
I personally have become very fond on the spectrum radio...every sense the pruchase of our Losi 8ight getting the feel of the spectrum transmitter and reciever I'm hooked really like the display. Its really nice to be able to set your steering trim and throttle see motor temp and adjust break with little effort all while being able to see what your doing from the display on the transmitter.
I strongly believe if your gonna make RC a enjoyable hobby a good radio is a must

I'm just using the traxxas link system right now as I ran out of funds ;( . Hopefully an upgrade to a spectrum system will come soon, but for now I need to get this working. Was I correct in assuming the radio calibration is to blame?

    Thanks, Robert

I was having a heck of a time with breaking the soldering connections I made with just the wire, so I got the nifty idea to solder bullets to it, and it works AWESOME!! Super strong and works very well. Here is a couple picks...

Got a few more pieces coming. I pulled the motor apart the other day and the bearings were completely dry so I reps led them with grease for now and ordered a set of ceramic lightning bearings with yellow rubber seals from boca. I also got the rest of the red aluminum rods for my rear end. Aluminum rod ends for my turnbuckles and toe links because the crappy plastic ones keep popping off, and my last big purchase, a futaba 4pl. I also got a yeah racing aluminum wheel with a disk brake and a awesome custom skin from upgrade-rc. I put purple springs on the front and back and it's now riding where it should be as well. I'll get some video up soon to so everybody can see it in action. I'm going to my local scateboard park tonight. Maybe I'll get some video from there!!

All together I figure I've sunk close to 2000 dollars in this thing, but I absolutely love it so it's worth every penny. Only problem now is my laptop crapped out so I might be having to trade it for a new laptop. If anybody has a good Mac or Asus gaming laptop let me know!!
