Proline 2.8 Badlands on Desperado Rims

    Hi,
I ordered a set of these. The front tires are huge compared to the stock XL5 Alias tires. I was hoping someone could confirm for me they will fit (front and back) before I open the package?

    Thank you!

They should fit, but there is a different offset front to back. That means if you didnt order a rear set and front set intended for rustler/slash/pede 2wds the f/r widths will be slightly different.

You need the front and rear electric Desperados (2729-03 and 2730-03 for black and 2729-11 and 2730-11 for black chrome).

These tires sure improved my off-road performance significantly!

As much as I like my Trenchers, I feel Badlands would have been a better choice.

Hey sim, looks awesome. Gotta get my son off road wheels/tires. What you have on will they bolt right on or did you have to modify anything?

Provided you buy the correct offset wheels, these will bolt right on.

Will the stock servo last with the added weight up front?

Yes codename. My trenchers are the same height has badlands but wider and they have caused me no problems.
I love the look of my trenchers and they really hold onto any surface I've tried but they balloon mahoosively!

These bolted right on for me. Love them. I only had the stock tires before and the car struggled a bit in grass, loose dirt and unorganized terrain with lots of loose debris (pine cones). Big difference with this setup. Car runs strong, in much better control and big speed improvement

Can you tape them, or do they come pre-glued?

You could tape them if you bought them not pre glued but man they have SO MUCH grip if you don't tape them. They can go over rocks that are as big as the rusty and sometimes the expanding helps get out of tight spots.

I tape all my other tires though lol.

I am just curious about how fast they wear compared to trenchers.

Dunno about Badlands but Trenchers will last you a v long time on any surface.

Badlands will wear out pretty fast on any hard surface. They are great traction but those little nobbies don't last to long. I have had my trenchers for over a year and everything from asphalt to grass and they barely show wear.

Only downside to the trenchers is that they are not the most responsive tire but when your looking for massive off road you have to sacrifice a little agility for traction.

I'm running stock gearing 19/86 with 2s, 35a ESC and a 4300kv with great bashing results.
