Has Anyone tried fitting the Summit front and rear bumpers on the Maxx? I was thinking picking some up.
Someone did a while back. I can't remember who though.

That looks great MacK! Can you give some details about how to go about the install.

For the front I cut off the two top screw mounts off the bumper mount. I then added two ball ends between the Summit bumper and the bottom bumper mount. The bumper mount will squeeze inward.
For the rear I cut and reused the middle part of the rear bumper and drilled new holes to line up the new position for the Summit rear bumper (this will allow you to use the stock wheelie bar). I then added ball ends just like the front to push out the bumper a little bit.
I ran a lead from the reviver (plunged in to the battery port) for the lights. I have a separate connection just out side the box so I can quick disconnect if need be.
Here are some pic of the install.

How do you get that black outline around the windows for the paint job?

Nice work mate. Was wondering how robust the light set-up was as it looks great, but am worried about fragility.
Always get a 2nd Opinion!
I masked off the black with painter tape. I painted the black first then the green. I was gona use liquid mask but I've always used tape so I decided just to stick with the tape method. I love the lime ice paint. It says it a two part stage but I just spray the green then use silver behind it. I have the 1/16 summit that has the same paint scheme. I know it doesn't belong in here but here's a pic of it's little brother[IMG][/IMG]
So how do you get the curved edges w the tape? Just cut the curve with a hobby knife?

What kind of tape do you use? The painters tape wont stretch and Ive looked for some of that pin stripping type tape that you can stretch, but I couldnt find any thats good and stretchy.

There are lots of good paint masking tapes, Pactra, Great Planes & tamiya all make good masking tape.
