I think the kit is you're only option, or at least its all my LHS carries. Be careful when you insert the pads, you can break 'em if you're too rough.

I think if you are due for a change, you might want to think about an upgrade slipper setup, I just put a new rebuild kit on mine and can't quite get it where I am happy with it. It might just be that it takes time to wear in, but I don't think the stock one offers enough fine-tuning anyways.

Ok it my stuff in the mail rebuilding the slipper as of now. I got a 14,15,16 piniones and two 54 tooth spur gears these are both 32p. So what gearing should I use? I run in grass, concrete, gravel, and pretty much everything so I need an all around gearing setup.

Haha idk. Ok I have a new problem, my pinion keeps coming off now... The grub screw keeps backing out and the. The gear slips in the shaft. I have tried nail polish but I think I am going to try blue loctite next..

I have three pinions that refuse to stay on I sometimes wonder if the threaded hole is off so that the edge of the set screw hits the shaft. Although with some super glue I was able to get one of them through one pack with some super glue just don't get it in the allen key hole.

I like the sound if the 32p gears but haven't tried them in metal.

Never ordered the grease because I got my other parts so I just threw my tranny together. Yea the 32p is nice. Seems louder though and also the whole stripping the spur didn't impress me much. Might just throw my old 48 p gears on and put on the gear cover.

I use plastic myself... Rather strip a plastic spur gear then transfer a bad load to my transmission...
I agree with jem450r, I read somewhere( maybe here) that the spur and pinion were designed to be made out of plastic so they would be damaged instead of being made out of metal and then the force would be transferred to inside the tranny and the damage would occur there.
Ok do you what gearing do you recommend? I am thinking if reordering my gears. I have some major heat problems with my motor right now it seems to really heat up like crazy. Like in the snow if I through snow on it it instantly melts and makes steam!
