Hi everyone I was wondering what order you think I should do these mods in (starting with things to make it more durable then for functionality and finally for all out fun). Also along the way I will add better servos, RPM, Traxxas upgrades ect. as they break. If you have any other mod ideas just post them down bellow.
Heres the list I have come up with:
-Long Travel Rockers
-Wheelie bar (I am going to make it spring loaded)
-Lipos
-4 channel TQi with docking base
-2 speed transmission
-telemetry censors
-Plasti dip servos
-Plasti dip ESC
-whater proof the motor (is this necessary?)
-summit drive shafts (is there something stronger?)
-T Lock differentials
-wider wheel base (what should I use?)
Also I would like to hear about better servos and a shroud to fit all of the mods (maybe a summit shroud?). Please include the Brand and any other information to help find the items.
Thanks
I think you need to start with a Summit & add a BL system..
-Long Travel Rockers....Only if you use the Summit drive shaft, LT break stock drive shafts like crazy
-Wheelie bar (I am going to make it spring loaded) ....Pic with what you come up with
-Lipos.............First thing needed
-4 channel TQi with docking base
-2 speed transmission ......If you are turning you truck in a Summit
-telemetry censors
-Plasti dip servos........not needed if you use the stock servos,
-Plasti dip ESC.......Will void your one year warrent
-water proof the motor (is this necessary?).......No
-summit drive shafts (is there something stronger?).......Good choice
-T Lock differentials .....Again if you are turning your truck into a Summit
-wider wheel base (what should I use?)........The Summit Geodes have a nice amount of off set
& tape those tires

Would you go flip my truck back over??
If you plan to do a lot of jumping look thru the threads and make a rear chassis brace
ERBE,Losi 8ight,Slash 4X4
Fairly simple

ERBE,Losi 8ight,Slash 4X4
^^^^it helps from not flexing your rear end when doing alot of jumps.^^^
Ahh.. Thanks!! I have the Rc solutions cage on now. Would this help?
Wouldn't you like to know...
you should be fine with the cage but most of us want to take most of the weight out as possible plus if it goes upside down you have the wing to protect.
Have read of my thread...there might be some info in there that could be of some use to you![]()
Rock n Rolla !
[QUOTE=87 GN;5293699]The Summit Geodes have a nice amount of off set
Sorry I should have been more specific when I said wheel base. What I really meant was more along the lines of an extended chassis and longer A arms to set the wheels further apart in all directions
While Im Thinking about it does anyone know about any wheel weights that can easily be taken on and off (Mostly for crawling)
Thanks guys! MODERATORS PLEASE REMOVE THIS POST

Summit A Arm will extend the lenght a bit. But is hard on stock Revo drive shafts, need the Summit shafts......
Would you go flip my truck back over??
87 GN in what way is it hard on stock revo shaft when you use the summit rear a-arms (extended)? i have this on mine right now.
Angle of the shaft....being kicked back.....
The drive shafts do best if they are in a straight line.

i'm going to run it like this for now until something happens to it, then go with the summit shafts <-----maybe just for the rear![]()
Do you guys think these are real and if they would fit the MMM http://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTO-SPEED-T...30569754564%26 and http://www.ebay.com/itm/TWO-SPEED-TR...30570740564%26.
Thanks guys
Just thought I might throw this out there to see what you think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw-klTcjcZQ
Dont see the point with a e-motor, you have full torque from start so no need for more than 1 gear.
+1 why, BL can go from zero to eighty mph, looks like a touring car thing, but interesting non the least...
so that mounts on the front of the motor? it will extend the motor & cause it to hit on the shock mount..

How much more angel do these give than the Summit ones (Im curios about angel because it will allow it to be taller and/or have sharper steering). Boy are they expensive but if in the long run they will save me money thats what I'm after. they have an ad too for ERBE specific ones, maybe they'll be cheaper.
Their site http://tvrrc.com/index_tvr.html#
The thread I found them on http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...axles-for-revo
Are the summit diffs wider? Also do you guys think they will hold up? http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread...=1#post5012291
summit diffs are wider on one side due to locking mechanism and you have to buy the summit bulkheads for it to fit.
i just scored a set of MIP CVD on all four corners...and the center CVD...all for $84...but...probably will return it back to the local hobby shop...just cos...also got a set of vantage racing cvd for $47 at the same shop...i was going to use both the sets on my two revo...but the MIP is just waaaay over kill...so...just gonna run one set...the erevo will just be stock...
What do you guys think about the XO-1 motor (sorry I don't know the name)? I think it would fit. Do you think a different motor brace/mount is necessary? If so what kind?

This is cool

I've heard people talk about the progressiveness of the shocks and it's kind of caught my attention. Do you guys know what P1 P2 and P3 mean, please explain.
each is a different rate of compression,

Hey guys, do you have to break in lipos?
Thanks GN.
Yeah I do, normally take it easy for the first couple times.
Rock n Rolla !
Thanks guys, I did some research and didn't find much so can you give me some details about how to do it.
What do you think about a censored system for crawling? Any suggestions?
I normally take it easy for the first few runs with new batteries before full throttling; that way I can have a few cycles through the batteries before giving it horns![]()

What do you think about a censored system for crawling? Any suggestions?
that is the only way to roll, with a brushed, or a censord BL motor for crawlin...

Cool video. Does any censored motor work with a MMM ESC or does it need a special censored ESC to work? Is there an appeal to censored over brushed? Is it speed/torque/precision?
Thanks.
yes no yes no & mabye...
The ESC has to be sensored, the MMM is not...

Is there an appeal to censored over brushed? Is it speed/torque/precision?
yes to the first two.. sort of for the precision... You just can't beat a Brushed set up for a crawler system...
Would you go flip my truck back over??
We need to know what you want to do with the truck...
Not much speed & mostly crawling = Brushed
Alot of speed some good crawling = Sensored BL
