Did something stupid - may have cooked my XL-5

Put a TRX connector on a battery. Hooked it up to my Slash. Must have had it backwards as it immediately smoked and melted all connectors off all four wires. Now my XL-5 wires are "crunchy".

So.... did I cook it? Or is there a chance it is okay?

It's a throwaway. But one way to get use out of it is to trade it in. Does anyone know what Traxxas does with the parts they get back? I would assume they just toss them in the bin.

Ran to the LHS at lunch today. My boy now has Velineon power. He'll be so happy. I'll be happy not having to remind him to temp his Titans anymore.
