Yea it's like a level 12 upgrade. But I think there should be a prize given to the owner of the first rally to reach 70mph, and to place in the SC A-main... I'd like to race mine next summer.

Yesterday I called my LHS to pre-order my Black & Blue Rally and... they had no idea what I was talking about. But this is nothing new, they usually have no idea what I'm talking about when it's "out of the box" thinking.

I said no not the 1/16 Rally I want to order the new 1/10 Rally and they had never heard of it and claimed Traxxas hasn't notified them about the new Rally.

I wish hobby shops paid what I make I'd be all over working at one. I haven't been in the hobby near as long as many of you guys, but I sure have picked up a wealth of knowledge from yall. My dream would be to work at one and help people out. I've so thought of opening one up in the area, I just don't know what the demand would be. Plus i'm sure it would need more than just RC stuff to keep it rolling.

Anyways back to topic. O.G. that's a bummer they didnt know of it. They could have at least tried looking it up and seeing if it was something they could get pre-ordered for ya. I'm not sure if you are a Tower member, but I got a good deal on mine. I'm a Gold Member so that helped even more. No not the one off of Austin Powers either. LOL

I’ve bought my last three Traxxas cars from him as complete rollers for around half the asking price of a new one. Traxxas really should sell these as rollers without the electronics so I could cut out the middle man.

Either way I’m getting the first roller he gets his hands on and we’ve already agreed on a price. Should hopefully have it about a week after they’re released.

I imagine that there are very few if any Traxxas reps that call on local hobby shops and the count of local hobby shops is diminishing with web based super stores so customer service and knowledge of new products relies on the true interest of new products by the owner.

'We' are more likely the ones to educate our local shops on products that interest us, I am sure they bring in many new products we have not heard of that don't interest us, works both ways.

I hope Traxxas does their job in assisting the promotion of new products to the local brick and mortar stores as they often are the ones we run to when we have problems and concerns so their support is important to us in my opinion. I would think some energetic Traxxas store would love to have all of us that want to order the new Rally place our orders with them

I still want a 'car only', no Tx or Rx or battery or charger. Ship it to me in kit form, sooner or later I will learn it all anyhow! LOL

Maybe they are actually in stock at the stores and have been told to hold for release date so you can walk in on the 17th and own one!

Could be playing dumb on purpose. You'd seriously think they would have a flyer about what is coming out and banners and stuff for advertisement to give to the HS. Shoot even a real or dumby model would be nice for show so people can check them out ahead of time. I'm really surprised this wasnt pushed to like November for Christmas. Man that would make it hard to get. LOL

Well a call to my LHS kind of drew a blank, not too informed about it, a call to Stormer Hobby put me in touch with a more enthusiastic person who said they are 'not' in stock yet but were expected to be shipping very soon.

This is exactly the way my platinum slash came out of the box (with an airbrush ready clear body also.

It did include a vxl3s system(which does not belong in this car) and all the alum goodies for around 425$ out the door at my local Hobbytown.

FTW, what do you mean, "whats the deal" with these items? They were adapted to fit the now lower profile battery and motor mount. Looking at the battery hold down, some 3s packs will fit without a battery expansion kit. My spc 3s pack fits my pede 4x4 with the stock mounts.

So many releases were scheduled for an Xmas release, and failed because full availability was not reached in time... Maybe they got it right this time, and will have full availability at Xmas. AGAIN, thank you Traxxas!

I went to the HS in Sugarland and talked to a couple of the guys there and they havent even heard about the new 1/10 Rally 4WD. The dude asked if I wanted to pre-order it. I said nah not right now. While I was there in Hog Heaven checking out the stuff on the shelves the guy called me over and said he looked it up and said man that thing is really sweet. I said yeah. But doubt i'll keep the stock ESC & Motor in there. He looked at me like I was some sort of goofball. I told him i'm a Castle Creations guy and want more P-O-W-E-R and laughed. He said your crazy dude. I said UH HUH!!!

I ended up buying a handful of things and went back to the car. Then my little guy woke up (wife was in there with the kiddos, while they was catching some ZZzzzzz's). I asked him if he wanted to go inside and his eyes lit up and said YES SIR. So we ended up going in there and browsing for another 20. LOL Fun times there!! Oh and he dig'd the Traxxas Funny Car, and said it has baby tires.

is the motor plate different than a slash 4x4 one? the motor mount looks different too.

Yep the motor mount (7460), plate, & cover (7477) look to be different. I'm not sure what the motor plate part number is.
