    New Servo...

My stock servo has stripped. What is a quality servo that can hold up to a good bashing? I am thinking about metal but I am not sure. Also, winter is coming, which means it will get wet and will have to hold up against heavy snow.

    -Thanks

Any servo is easily water proofed, you can find all that info on google easily. For the servo I'd go for the hitec 5085 or the bluebird390.

I've got a Savox Micro Servo for 1/16 scales. I've never had any problems with that.

We put a JR ds368bb in our Summit with 5" tires last month. No problems, all metal gears, about 50+% more powerful as I recall and ball bearings.

Bluebird 390 is a great little servo, I had bad luck with my Hitec 5085, it stripped after about a week of use. The stock servo has 41.7 oz/in of torque. You can actually get a Corona digital, metal gear, ball bearing servo with 64 oz/in of torque for $7.93 (DS238MG), I just ordered one to try it out in my other MERV since the Bluebird is out of stock.
