Hey i was just wondering if it was possible to do it
They should bolt right up, same chasis. You would of course have to re gear with tires that small.
Rusty 2.5R,T-max 2.5 & 3.3,Summit VXL Nitro 4-tec
Also not to mention they would look really small, and out of place...But ya, it's possible.

Is owning 27 RC's too many? No way!
I mean 1/10 scale rally tires + wheels not the 1/16 rally
maybe somebody could get a picture with the 1/10 rally tires on it. are they bigger or smaller than stock 1/16 summit tires

That may take a while... as the 10th Rally is new.
Try comparing the tire part numbers over at Tower Hobbies...
they tend to be pretty good about providing measurements.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.
The 1/10 rally tires are 102mm in diameter and the stock 1/16 summit tires are 98mm diameter so the rally's are a tad bigger
What are the hexes on the rim?
So far it sounds like they would be a decent tire as far as size goes.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.
the 1/10 rally wheels are 12mm hexes and the 1/16 summit are also 12mm so it looks like it would be a good tire for track racing with softer dirt
anybody tried it or have pics?

fleabay has sets avaliable
I'm not krazy. My mother had me tested.
I am wondering if they would make good tires for the track we just made that has hard dirt with a little soft dirt on top
has any body tried either the 1/10 rally tires or 1/10 slash tires
here are pictures of rally wheels on my mini revo - same chassis...I didnt drive it but there is no binding while turning or anything of that nature. If you want me to test drive it, just let me know. I think i have the tire patters on the car backwards....hehehe

that looks really nice, i really like how it looks. It would be very cool if you could drive with them on to see how the motor handles it![]()
i didnt have any issues this morning driving it around...didnt have time to check the motor temps with the gearing but I have it undergeared to begin with so it handled the larger tires quite well. I think they are lighter than stock summit wheels. If you have a scale, we can compare. I'll weigh mine tonight so you have the #s.
MUCH more grip than the merv wheels and because it hits up higher, it has a tendency to flip easier. WHEELIES even with the center diff installed.
I cant compare to a summit as the summit I had was brushed and wasnt as fast as my merv. Not to mention, I recall it rolling over constantly with the large tires and high body. So, Yes, they will fit on the platform, yes it will grip more, should actually run easier and i think the rally tires are smaller diameter.....
...More to follow when I get home tonight. I'll take some technical notes and you can compare for yourself.

i do not have a scalebut thanks for all the info. Lets see how well these tire work
Rally wheels are 109g/3.84 oz at 4" tall
Revo wheels are 72g/2.54oz at 3 1/4" tall
not sure what the summit wheel weight is.
"RED"
the summit wheels are 3.86 inches tall but i do not have the weight, but the rally tires are about the same size as summit tires
rally 102mm and summit 98mm tall
or rally 4.02 inches and summit 3.86 inches

are you going to run it![]()
I ran it. No issues except what was started previously.

nice so do you think it is worth buying some?
I have ran short course wheels and tires, worked good, no temp issues. I now run the dirt hawg buggy rear tires, on 2.2 wheels. They are a little shorter than the regular dirt hawgs, they work good with no issues.
Rusty 2.5R,T-max 2.5 & 3.3,Summit VXL Nitro 4-tec
you ran like full size slash tires?
Wow that looks really good![]()
Summit 1/16 vxl
I think that your car looks really awesome with those wheels![]()
Yes I ran full size slash tires, they are a little taller, but not alot. I like the dirt hawg rear buggy tires, they are a little shorter. I geared up to an 18 pinion, no heat issues. The slash tires work fine, it is just still a little more prone to flipping over, as with the stock tires. I have also ran the old style dirt hawgs, worked good, again they are just a little bigger than the stock.
