nitro here is REALLY expensive ( 15 dollars a liter 20% nitro) can i just mix methanol and castor oil? and maybe ad acetone to increase the power?
i would'nt do it if i were you unless you know what your doing.
well, nitromethane in nitro fuels are just a fuel to boost the preformance of the engine, typical nitro fuel is made of nitromethane, oil and methanol so just getting rid of that nitro methane should only lower the power the engine produces. What i'm really trying to find out here is if anyone has used it long term without any problems.
Wish nitro fuel was that cheap where I am, $20 a litre. I only buy in 5 litre containers, $50, works out a little cheaper.

Maybe some of you should come to Australia & by nitro fuel here, then you will see what expensive is, specially in the country area's with only a couple of hobby shops & very little choice in brands.

Is owning 27 RC's too many? No way!
Low nitro content may be cheaper but the performance from the fuel is not there.

It will perform in the high rpms, but overall performance will suffer considerably.
