Well my son tried a 3s lipo with the new Castle Combo while I was at work and melted the slip cluth into the gear box some how. Time for the RPM gear box upgrade and purchase every part to rebuild the slip clutch from the shaft all the way up to the spur gear. No more 3s for him. LOL

Had fun this morning while walking my daughter to preschool...

Then I decided it was time for a deep clean as it's squeaking everywhere and won't turn the same etc... Just caked after what.. 2 years with ONLY replacing bearings and never cleaning it.

I can't believe an entire sl4sh (minus the chassis, front and rear diffs and shocks) fits in that little tub of soapy water.

Letting it soak overnight and will scrub it some time tomorrow.

Today I finished up the final touches on my Proline Silverado HD body.
I think it's not too bad for my first body, not so sure about the gold though...

The Spaz Stix holographic paint is really amazing, it works with just about any color, and really makes your car stand out!

Yesterday I took my truck to work with me. I received a new driveshaft in the mail and decided to get it done in the staff room. I had every teacher's attention when I tore it apart to fix it! Didn't take long and Truckie was ready to go

I know slightly off topic but when I got mine in the mail the first thing I did was replace all the bearings at my desk at work haha.

Even my boss was sitting there watching.

Nah.. I work in IT but I seem to be the only normal person there who is interested in things besides games.

Started putting it back together.. need new arms as the RPM ones are permanently bent.. not strong enough plastic for a 4x4.. RPM should look into it and have slightly more rigid arms.

Just down from my work is a race track owned by the local club. I sweet talked a member into giving me the gates access code so I go there at lunch sometimes ;-)

Replaced all of the XT60 connectors on my batteries and ESC's with XT90's this weekend. Also made a couple of charging cables with XT90 ends as well.

Know it may be overkill, but those "fat" wires on the 7200mah SMC batteries fit nicely on the XT90 plugs.

Cleaned out the front diff an filled with 30k diff fluid
Installed a new aluminum input shaft bearing adapter > old one wore out
Had another enjoyable day with virus free traxxas rc

Not overkill. Much better with the fat gage wires and XT90s for your cars.

The only time I use XT60 connectors are for my small Graphine 950mAh 65C 2S and 3S LiPos for my Nerf blasters!

That’s a great area to run! We are stuck in the burbs with mostly street and my son is getting bored. Looking into building a couple of ramps so he can gain more skill.

Thank you! It is super sweet, lucky to have it. We where stuck on an Air Force base in Florida. Just a bunch of hard fine quartz sand that gets everywhere. Sure this is sandy too but seems to be less abrasive. Also have a hobby store near by, that’s new for us too. We live near San Diego and there seem to be several shops around.

If it wasn’t for this place at the back of a park I don’t think my son would have any interest. That’s because there are several big jumps here lol.

I’ve been waiting for months on the Elsob special Mamba X 2400 without success. Looked at global market, some shipping cost arm and leg, some asking for stupid money. Gave up waiting, needed quick solution as VXL hitting 150f in less than 5min on 3S 13/54. That’s on a cool 60-65f day. Got the HW Max8 combo. 110f max with 19/54 on 3S. Very happy with the temp. Only need to move the receiver box up front and the rest drop straight in. Enough yapping, b4 after below.
