I was looking through my photos when I found the pics i took in the summer all they are made of is some plywood that i took a big hole saw and drill them out. i made the hexes with careful use of a dremel. They were my idea of cheap tires. They are very fun to slide around with

Put an horseless carriage body on it, paint some spokes and you'll be back in the day...![]()

lol. Great idea! Did you run it?
MERV, Broken Alias.
YA i ran it, absolutly no traction at all lots of fun though i have been thinking i might put some screws in it to drive in the snow
Next time i think i will make them bigger
make a normal sized tire/rim would be perfect for some drifting........good idea......
Idrifting.....
Would you go flip my truck back over??
ya but that was the largest hole saw we had if you wanted to make it bigger you would have to be very good with a jig saw
if you have a band saw i think thats what its called you can make one.
Have you thought about making them thicker?
like 2-3" thick? you would need a lathe machine though to smooth it out to the size you want like 5"-6" or what not to round it out just right then cut the width you want. to add some traction you could add something to it then to make it a drift tire or like you said put some screws in it to run in the snow. just throwing out ideas
Living life.
that would be better if they were thicker i think if i do them again i will use a 2x6
Just buy a 4" hole saw at Home Depot, that should work pretty good. Cool idea.
I think that is what i used was a 4" hole saw
Nice and low weight also! I've used 6" saw blades for tires in a similar fashion.

Cut some tread from old ripped tires and super glue them on to those wheels![]()
