Well here's my new project


Parts list
Rpm a-arms
Light weight chassis
FLM hybrid bulkhead/ diff
Ss mods 3.3 crankshaft
Davis diesel connecting rod
New backing plate
New crank case
New cooling head
Proline masher tires
Geode wheels
Tmaxx body

That is all I have right now ill keep posting updates
Could you guys give me input on what else to buy or do thanks

Ok guys I need help, the chassis I have is a 4909 and I need to decide what tranny I can put on it, I don't think I'll want a reverse one because they break easy but I don't know what tranny I can use with the older style drive shafts??? Or how can I make this work??

I think to keep things simple you should choose a tranny with output shafts
the same diameter as your diff's output shaft (pinion gear).

I prefer the black 2.5 trannys but mating 5mm output shafts of the black tranny
up to E Maxx diffs 6mm pinion gears was a bit tricky.

Do you know if your diffs use 5 or 6mm drivecups?

I run a black 2.5 FOC tranny with stock driveshafts and B/L emaxx diffs. Juat gotta shave the end of the shaft a smidgen to work with the diff.

Well I have traxxas Cvds that are now connected to a 4909 tranny that I took the reverse out of, I put on Aluminum shock towers , traxxas battery box, aluminum chassis braces. That's as far as I got today and I forgot to take pictures lol but I will later

Have u thought about installing robinson racing steel gears in your trans? They make that already tough trans freakin nuke proof

Do you remember who made those fuel tanks?
Mine is slightly different, it doesnt have the recess for the EZ Start.
Its cube shaped. But everything else is the same.

If your using the FLM ult hybrid rear with their diff and a stock front diff then you are going to have a problem with gear ratio. The rear is an 1/8th scale diff. Not sure what the ratio's are but they are different.

I LOVE my hybrids. I cheated and put stock diffs in the bulks that were intended for buggy diffs and they have held up just fine. I will likely finally buy some buggy diffs once I get my brushless rig up and running though.

Nice Build, That looks really cool, but I have a question I have yet to figure out, what exactly is Bashing?
Yes I am new to Nitro Traxxas stuff actually New to the Entire RC Hobby I just got disgusted with the cheap CHEAP 4.8V rc I bought to entertain the cats always Dead or unable to run in lawn and seen a Traxxas T-Maxx on Ebay for a Rediculously ( I mean it to Rediculous) low price so I thought I would give it a shot and have not been so happy with a Purchase I have ever made on Impulse, but sadly now I am Hooked hard core and have this insane Craving that I must drive my T-Maxx daily or I get Withdrawl Issues. But back to the Thread, I am quite impressed with some of the items and am excited to hear how it turns out and especially how that carb works with the 3.3 as i will be going 3.3 as soon as I wear out my new 2.5 i installed a couple weeks ago. Got it at a Steal too.

Well bashing is not racing it's back yard fun! There's not a big definition for it but you run it hard have fun and replace or upgrade anything that breaks lol thanks guys

I see so what I do pretty much is Bashing, ya I ran into my 2.5 I am selling the neighbor and busted my Front Bulkhead and his (well mine still Throttle/Brake Servo) as a matter of fact the sun is out no rain so I better get out and start playing a bit
