Traxxas link Aplication and Iphone 5

Is it possible to connect a iphone 5 to the telemetry docking base.
Iam planning to buy a Iphone 5 and it would be nice if I can use it with the Traxxas transmitter.

Yes. It's compatible with any apple iPod/iPhone.

iPhone 5 uses a different docking/charging
Less pins on the iPhone 5, it's a high speed data connection
I believe there's an adapter you can buy to use the older style 30pin(? I think) to the new style connector

I know there is a adaptor, but will that work with the Traxxas parts.
There are some electronic systems that don't work with the adaptor

I don't know if it's ios6 compatible just yet. If it is it might work.

The i-Phone 5 will work with the TQi docking base so long as you have
the adaptor from Apple

The adaptor pushes the iPhone out a bit though and the first clamp
does not make contact with the phone body.

JUST WONDERING.....I love my iPhone and my slash vxl, and this adapter sounds like a match made in heaven, but..... If I'm just backyard bashing ( for now), is it worth the $$ .., thanks

I have the Iphone 5 and the adaptor, it aint working ;-(

I thought you said it worked before. Does this mean it won't work with the adapter and upgrade to iOS 6 or 7?

In the end, telemetry is good for on the fly checking of voltage and temperatures, but once I figured out maximum run times and temperatures and how long I could run before I get the batteries down to storage voltage, I really don't use it much anymore. Just turn on the old stop watch.

Does anyone have a update on getting iPhone 5s to work ? I purchased the adapter off eBay for $3.00 and it didn't work as I suspected because it only charges and does not do data. I'm going to borrow my buddy's apple connector and see if it works before I spend $30 on it.

So as an update for people searching I borrowed my buddy's actual apple adapter piece and it worked perfectly. The app booted right up did some updates and works like a charm. Now to figure out what settings I like

U can only use genuine iPhone 5 adapter as non genuine are only charging adapters !

Same question here. Got a new Ultimate, and don't want to spend another $33 on the Apple brand adapter if I can avoid it.

In parallel, I also am trying to get an iPhone 3G to work as another option. Posted in another thread about it. Doesn't seem to be working so far. App not compatible.
