That 2650kv motor is way too "hot" for this build. You're going to want a top speed of no more than 30mph. I know the diff cases are aluminum, but all of the torque and traction of the back 6 wheels are running through the first pinion between the tranny and first rear diff. All of the load is "piggybacked" onto that first pinion, and it will fail without much power.
Even at only 4s the 2650kv motor is spinning way too fast to gear down enough to have a reasonable top speed.
If you're deadset on a brushless powerplant I recommend looking at crawler systems, or a kv closer to 1500.
Honestly, an evx and 775 would suit this build well.
Yes, I supposed I knew that, but that's the only one I have in hand... But for a 775 titan I need a new motor mount from HPP... I'll see what I can do about it... Or maybe 3S?

Looks sweet, can not wait to see it in action.![]()
With great brushless comes great responsibility.
Awesome job man keep at it
Very very nice. Must be awesome to have access to a good machine shop.

Well, after a year, the truck is almost finished, I decided not to install the chassis braces for now, and just to test it, all the wires are exposed... So, I went to my underground parking lot and took two videos...
On the first one, I was testing the suspension, looks pretty good to me...
Btw, one wheel fall off after 5 seconds, I forgot the pin on the axle...
I'll post the second one later tonight, showing how it runs...
It's not easy to drive and film at the same time... Hope you like it...
Daniel.

Looking good, can't wait to see it in the dirt!
Driving & videoing is a lot harder then it looks!
Look out for the tree/crunch!
LiPo? Naw NITRO!!
There is a lot of cogging going on there, i would gear down a lot or pot a lower KV motor in
Second video...

I'm sorry, it's fixed now! Thanks!
LOL, it won't happen...
Yeah! And it's worst when you're surrounded by concrete columns...
Yeah! But, I don't really care, at "high" speed works great....

Wow that is cool. The steering is so fun to watch.
With great brushless comes great responsibility.
Thanks!Quoting a friend of mine: "That thing has the turning radius of a small freight train"...

That is something unlike anything I've ever seen b4
Let me see well done. Nice work. Great to see something different. Keep the vid's coming.

Thanks Guys!I'll get another video soon, will ask a friend to help me because I can't drive and tape at the same time....

Great job. Have you got any body for this?

Haven't seen bodies that long, but I want at least a stock one for the front part...

You could try one like I have on my six wheeler. I used a now-retired Pro-Line Streamliner body and mated that to Plastruct covered in plastic diamond plate. Just a thought. A Topkick body would work pretty well, also. I used Axial fender flares for the rear.

That's exactly what I was thinking!I wanted that body but is no longer available and if you can find on eBay it's usually expensive, so, as you said, a topkick body is the possible choice... My 6x6 which is under construction will look like that one day...

Why not any dirt? This thing would be a beast in the mud!!!!
LOL, it's too expensive and looks too nice to use it on dirt...

Hi are you still doing this truck ? Also what's happened to the videos ? .
Hey, I'm sorry, videos are up now.I moved to another home a few months ago and all my RC projects are on hold now. I'm not planning to do anything else to the truck for now, maybe some day I'll add the chassis braces but it's pretty solid as it is now. About the body, I never intended to make one, I find that people loves to see what's under the hood. About the cad drawings for the diff, I wasn't the one who made them and I lost contact with Halesk many years ago. I wanted a few more but I guess this is not going to happen, too expensive and market is not big enough to make only a few of them.
