Lightning McQueen (from the movie cars)

I'm looking for a lightning McQueen body for my son for a rustler,do they make them or would that just be a custom paint job? I've seen it once on a form just can't remember where

Have never seen one so chances are you'll have to paint one. Would look great on a rusty bod.

Pick a body style with rounded edges, something that has the curves the same....
Then get out your liquid mask....

Do some hunting for body styles,,, Proline and Parma,,,, sometimes you have to think out of the vox and see if something for a different model maybe something you can work with....

i dont think they make one of those more less painted it. you might be able to measure one like off the store brand lol and see if it fits then make the post cutout i've done it before and would do it again cost just the same about as if you were to buy the body and not to mention they are thicker than hobby grade bodies atleast the one's i had were and lasted alot longer.
they have chevy truck bodies on walmart/toys r us cheap rc's that fit my emaxx, pede, merv as well i might look into getting one of those sometime and seeing how long it lasts compare to hobby grade again last time it lasted twice as long.

Google "traxxas lightning mcqueen" and check the images, you'll find some examples there...

There was a veritable explosion of lightning McQueen rc bodied cars and trucks in a few RC Facebook groups a while back. They were using a hardbody custom mounted from a Walmart toy.

I accidentally left my Defender body at home while on vacation in Georgia and I didn't have a body for my TRX-4 so I went to Target and bought a cheap Lightning McQueen shell and spent the evening cutting it up. The cuts were a bit jagged due to me having to use tin snips. If I can find it then I'll send some pictures of it. The shell was only cut enough to fit the chassis.
    Guess who's back.
    Back again.

Love hardbody conversions. Everyone has a off-road McQueen.... so I made the onroad one.
