Well I found my 1/16 E-REVO (7105) under the tree Christmas morning, I love it, so far I have only broken one axle carrier; so I bought new RPM units for all four corners and A arms for the front and back and the Proline Baja Bug body from my local hobby store Hobby World here in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. I'm hooked and can't get enough. Looking forward to chatting with fellow enthusiasts and learning allot.
Clint.

Looks nice!
so are you going to upgrade to brushlessyou are going to love those rpm arms
With great brushless comes great responsibility.
Eventually I may upgrade; for now I'll find some lipo's and proper speed control (I'm told mine won't last if use inch them) and play around with it and try not to break too many components.
I'd stick with brushed for now. My brushless is crazy fast with one 7.4 lipo. I already broke a bulkhead from standing backflips lol
Have fun with that. Can't think of brushed speed controls right now, you might want to upgrade to brushless and run it on training mode if you like it now. The RPM stuff is great might want the bumper too if you upgrade.
Looks good! I just got a merv for Christmas as well and am having a blast with it. Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours
funny how a dusting of snow is heaven sent for us, isnt it?? haha! Have fun with it!!
Welcome to Traxxas.com Yes, EVERYONE here IS a Pro Racer.... [/sarcasm]
I like it for the Merv and because I won't have to clear a bunch of snow, my snow bank at the edge of the driveway is five feet tall! I have 2600 square feet of driveway to clear and my 25 year old snowblower is on its last legs.
Summer should be great though; I'm planning on buying some tires geared towards pavement and launching this little bugger of some ramps etc.
stock tires are pretty good for pavement. And the lil Revo jumps very well! Make sure you shim the diffs though! If you are going to be doing LOTS of jumping, Id look in to the T Bone Racing skidplate as well. Pretty much makes the MERV a tank.

Sounds good; I'll put them on the list.
Thanks.
you should get some spc lipos![]()
With great brushless comes great responsibility.
With the t bone get the 4 piece kit. Ties it all together
That for sure will happen. But after I make it stronger and shim the diffs.
Good to know; thanks.
So last night after using it in the cold; my speed control green light was flickering a bit, thoughts? Could it just be the cold? It was -22 at the time.

That's cold! Have you tried it today?
Is that *C?
I'd stick with niMh til it gets warmewr then go lipo!

Yes Celsius. Ok I will.
So since I own this:
I figured it was only a matter of time until I made this:
I just finished it this evening.
The fit is pretty good; I'm going out to buy extended body mounts in the morning to make it a bit easier to slide the pins through to secure the body.

secure the body with velcro to the battery doors. Looks like it fits like the stock body does.

I have the Velcro here beside me; I'll try it out.
Velcro is the way to go!
My daughter loves your bug! Now she has a bug to paint for her merv and I just bought one for her e maxx!
Thanks! My little girl likes it too; maybe when she's older I'll buy her one too.
New Summit bumper.
The L.E.D.'s will be added soon.![]()

Bug power for the win!
Looks great
Your big Beetle looks like it's in great condition, and the small one looks great too. You should think about having a drag race...
Its huge! Going to try to put it on my e maxx. Says it fits but looks like a pain
I also have a bug body for the merv that needs painted too!
They are just decals to look like air intake holes; haha they are very realistic.
wow.. yes, they are pretty realistic!

So your the guy that bought the bug body, I went in to hobby world a few weeks ago looking for one for my daughters merv and they said they had one but just sold it, lol, so I ordered one, yours looks great, she wants hers some how painted like a rainbowwish me luck...
about how much did it run ya for the a-arms and axle carriers? you look like your pretty good at changing them, when can you mine?![]()

I think they were around $15.00 for the fronts and the same for the rear (purchased separate) slightly cheaper for the axle carriers.
It's not too difficult if you have the exploded view of the suspension printed off and in front of you and they come with directions.
Good luck with the painting!![]()
Do you remember if $15 was for both the left and right a-arms? they are quoting me $15 for each corner, so $60 for all the a-arms, then another $60 for the axle carries, thanks
When u get the front it comes with the left/right arms
Same for the rear
So should be about $30
I just phoned, but I asked twice and said are you sure? he said yeah, $15 per corner, so $60 for those plus $30 for 2 axle carriers, grand total of 122.88 plus tax, I've noticed a few times when I'm in there it really depends who you talk to, one guy told me I couldn't upgrade the 1/16th digger to 4x4, another time they said to run a series connector for a longer run time, thanks a lot for the info.
thats why you do research here and just give them part numbers and double check everything before you pay!
Welcome to the hobby! I was in your boat 20+ years ago. I had plenty of tyco and Radioshack cars growing up. Finally I was old enough and had enough money saved up to buy a real car! Mine wasn't a traxxas but my friend got a bandit not long after mine! I have been in and out of the hobby ever since and all the cars I have bought since were traxxas.
The minis are awesome but as you grow I would highly recomend saving up and getting an emaxx or full size revo. The minis are great over all but the 1/10th is so much more versital. A perfect fleet of r/c should have atleast one of each size in my opinion. I can't wait to get my emaxx back running. Currently it is in need of quite a few parts!
That is true. We still have fun with our two mervs but now that we have a built erbe and embe those are our favorites at the moment. Especially off road and rougher terrain
