E Revo- Need help on ESC

Hey guys, I just bought a E-revo used and need some help. It currently runs on a Titan 775 and EVX2. very torquey and love it for snow cuz its waterproof but its not brushless and this spring I want to use the stock Mamba motor with it . I have the motor but need a esc to run with it. Suggestions? I have no clue about this, Im a nood. I know the motor is brushless but not waterproof? Would a mamba monster esc be okay? What does it take to make the switch to this setup and I run 5000mah nickels right now. Can the mamba run dual 2c batteries? Will it be faster than the titan and evx2? Thanks!

run the mamba with a mamba monster but you would need to go with lipo batteries and yes much faster than brushed !

A MMM esc is wired series to run two lipos/nimh batts. is your BL motor a castle 2200kv? as for waterproof ESC....castle just announced their new release WT ESC, you might wanna check it out.

Yeah it's the stock mamba motor 2200 I think, and can the brushless castle mamba
Esc (notwaterproof) run nickel too? It has low volt settings? My 1/16 revo has that vxl motor and the monster stuff just confuses me so much

traxxas sells nimh with the revo but castle doesn't recommend it

Yes the MMM has a LVC you set that with Castle Link.... programer.
Castle Has come out with a water resistant ESC the MMM2........

When my mamba esc caught on fire I bought a eZRun 150A HobbyWing esc. It is SOOOO much smoother than my mamba was. Its a bit bigger but it runs cool and I found it for $79.

Two aftermarkets that rises to the top every time. Castle and Tekin.
I prefer the Tekin sensored myself for smoothness and low end speed control.
Im not getting the smoother part of the Hobbywing ESC either. If you are going sensored Ill buy that but I dont think the Hobbywing sensorless would be any smoother than the MMM. Their price is lower beacuse the are using old technology with the power circuits, hence the size difference too. They switch SCRs at a much lower rate which would actually make it less smooth if anything. Castle and Tekin uses IGBTs switched up in the 15kHz range.

It doesn't jitter near as much at low speed as my mamba did. It also has a very controllable throttle response right out of the box. I never messed with the programming on my mamba, so that may have made a difference. But I haven't messed with the program in my HW either and it is by far better for me.
