My Stampede is pretty heavy about 7 lbs and also I run in grass and very rought terrain all the time and I run bigger tires (trenchers) than stock so 14t is perfekt for me. Speed is more than you'll ever need in this kind of terrain and temps always below 150F.

I also jump a lot. Backflips, double backflips and all this crazy stuff. Much stop and go stuff too and I closed down my slipper all the way for wheelies and more punch.

But you'll need 17mm Adapters, Stronger axles, and stronger rear diff. With this power, weight, grip and drving style these parts will break very soon.

I used a dremel to create space and then build a socket were I mounted the esc with strong double sided mounting tape. Very easy to do

I really want one. So there's no different gauge wire between 1/10 scale and 1/8 scale motors ? I've seen that esc on both that's why I ask.

They are a good esc for the cash and can handle 4s a treat and no the gauge of wire it comes with is more than plenty to power most brushless motors dude.......peace

It shouldn't cog if it's a 4 pole sensored motor unless the esc isn't sensored. 4 pole gear mesh sounds different from a stock motor setup also.

use the double paperstrip method to set gear mesh.
as you know i have the same combo. gearing 14/54
also i set timing on esc to 0. mine is not cogging much. i can run it pretty slow. slower than walking speed.
litte cogging is normal, but if you are used to sensored bl or brushed motors there is some change.

ok so setting the timing to 0 will make the cogging less.....?

    just bash and learn baby.....

i can only set my escs timing to 1. i dont have 0 option for it.... but it still cogging too much.... i am used to the vxl cogging but this sounds too much...

Is your slipper clutch tight ? If it don't slip as much it won't cog as much.
