i am a chevy fan and i know their are some chevy fans on here. It is the 2014 chevy silverado, i think it looks pretty sweet. Chevy released the pics 2 weeks ago. I like the new light combo.
and the new gmc sierra

With great brushless comes great responsibility.
Have they changed the rear floor on this? I like the Chevy drivetrain and looks better, but the flat rear floor in the ford is very nice.

Looks very low to the ground.
Why are they doing 2014? It's not even 2013 yet!
Finally some wheels that don't suck. Gm has been behind in the cool wheel department for years IMO. But those are sweet.
the new gmc looks sharp

they added a rear step in the back

It has been my understanding the interior of the truck hasn't changed significantly since the early 2000s. One day Chevy will care enough to compete with the likes of Ford and Dodge.

i think it has changed, her is the new one

oops double post

Those wheels in the last pic look like Ford Mustang FR-500 wheels. Im not a GM fan but the GMC looks nice, but the Chevy....I dont like so much. Something about those headlights and grill. Just my opinion though.
One shot.....One kill, no exceptions
If that is the redesigned interior, they need to hit the drawing board again. It already looks dated! I really want to like chevy again, but they can screw up a ball bearing! It looks too toyish to me kind of like the Camaro's interior, that is a great car ruined by bad interior pieces and horrible driver visibility.
The outside looks awesome though, they did do that right the first time, the angry eyes of the older models were just weird looking.

I think the newer the models become, the bigger the logo gets and the more spaced out the grill becomes...
God is good.
love it. i am a chevy guy. i will hopefully have one of these in the next couple of years when i move out of my parents house and put my degree to good use.
Big difference between style in the years
Haha looks cool oh I hear now the half tons are getting a 4.5L duramax!!
johnzilla those are my favorite models so so sweet. i especially like jacked up ones to a certain extent.
They pretty much scrapped the 4.5l duramax. Look at the specs on the power stroke and the 4.5l. They are exactly the same only bigger displacement for the power stroke. With the newer emissions they could not make the 4.5l work out. Any thing below a 3500 the standards were just too high. If you notice most duramax's after 2011 are 3500 single wheel, instead of 2500. The 2500 duramax's will be few and far between. Sweet old chevys, I had 69 short bed, that was a drag truck, and a 70 long bed that was jacked up. I really love that old body style.

went with cooper discoverer stt on the tires, my fav, told dad to get them but their soft tires, and he drive most highway, i still like our '01 2500 chevy duramax crew cab tho. the 2014 truck reminds me of a 04-06 ford, forget what year but it does look cool. with a snap on decal in the back window it would look the best tho, ohhh yeah, and a polaris sticker also, and dont forget the traxxas sticker!
RACE IT, BREAK IT, FIX IT, REPEAT!
we could turn this into a thread for pics of peoples chevy trucks because the ford guys are.

I am ore interested in the next gen GM small block comming out in the 2014 models. Its guestimated 23-24 MPG in a Suburban. The 5.3 in the current models is getting what 20-21?
Pay It Forward.
I've been following this too, I know the 5.3 "vortex" aspirated engine gets a stable average of 15 mpg (with cylinder disabling) The engine will cut four cylinders when you sustain a set RPM, (doesn't have to be on cruise) when this is enabled it's getting a good 35mpg.
Have one in the 2011 Yukon, pretty powerful too.

Everyone that I have to that has new Tahoe/Suburban do get 20 on the highway as long as they drive 70ish and keep their foot out of it. I have an 99 Tahoe (last year with a 5.7L) I can get 18 at county speeds of 55-60 but only 16 at 70-73 highway speeds. When my wife drives (80+ mph) it gets 14 or so.
