I want to shim my diffs on my Revo Brushless Edition but need the sizes of the shims or a shim kit with assorted shims that would work. I search Google's and many other forums and the closest size I'm seeing is 6x8x0.2 mm but I'm not sure how true that is either.
I haven't pulled the diffs yet but I would like to know the size(s) for the both sides of the Diff and the Ring Gear or a assorted shim kit that would work.
Would you go flip my truck back over??
take you time shim'n get a good fell for the gear mesh, most times all I use are a few 6mm...
Would you go flip my truck back over??
On the diff side you will need associated 21141
One side is 8mm the other side is 10mm. Usually you want to shim the 8mm side to get the ring gear closer to the pinion

speaking of that other truck, how are the diffs holding up..?
I have read of them breaking too........

I've never had a issue with the Hpi bullet proof diffs. and I've had them from when they first come out in 2008/2009ish.. The only Savage I have now is the Flux and it's a brute..
I'm new to the Revo and herring lots of issues with these diffs. I'm only going on my 3rd run on 6s with Traxxas sway bar kit, blue springs rear & silver in front, 60wt shock oil and Big Joe's with no issues so far but I still want to shim the diffs. If for what ever reason I do bust them in the future then I may do the LST2 mod..

kind of a bummer traxxas has had diff problems for over ten years .started with my first t maxx in the early 2000's same problem as my revo
Sum revo's post shows 6mm on the output, and 10mm on the side outputs.
50toGo says 8 and 10, which is it?
I have 4 trucks using these diffs, might as well buy a couple packs of each. Just dont want to buy the wrong ones.
