I just replaced my slipper clutch pads, i do it by removing the engine. I go out, and before i start playing i hold my truck down And rev it a little to make sure theres a bit of slippage,so there wasnt any so what happenit stripped my spur, this is getting old, i replaced the pads about a week ago, 1 minute into playing it spit 2 pads out, so i guess it was to loose, now i bought new pads, and it strips my spur, maybe to tight now?? Is not like i have a hobby shop across the street, i have to travel 30 m to my closest one!! Any inputs,my truck is 3 months old, all i do is play in my street,i've used maybe 1/2 gallon.
With the pads apply a small drop of CA glue to the pad and stick it on the slipper assembly. Now you shouldn't lose any pads; I did this before the first start up of a new truck and they have lasted me many gallons.
A properly set mesh will result in a spur gear lasting a long time. How long have you had the truck? If RC is new, chalk it up to the learning curve.

Should i get integy steel spur??
No! Then you'll need a hardened clutch bell otherwise the stock one will be chewed up. Where does that get you? That is a band-aid to problems easily remedied. The spur is the weak link, otherwise you move that weak link further down the line--most likely into the transmission. Again, properly set, the spur will last a long time.

Makes sence, how many tooth on the stock spur, im getting it tommorrow!!
If I'm correct, I think the stock spur gear is 36Thow many tooth on the stock spur![]()
Is owning 27 RC's too many? No way!
Do u know of a link of how to remove the tranny??
Sure. Let me see if I can find one...Do u know of a link of how to remove the tranny??
EDIT: Here is the LINK. It's just the parts view, but it shows how the transmission comes out. Underneath the chassis there should be 4 screws holding the center skid plate on, those screws also holds the transmission on too. Hope this helps!![]()

^ +1. Remove the pins holding the center shafts to the output shaft of the transmission, remove the four screws from the skid plate and unscrew the brake linkage and the tranny will literally fall out.
