Hi guys after my recent purchase of the new sl4sh platinum lcg, I have decided my other sl4sh needs a change. I am going to turn it into a monster truck. any ideas would be much apreciated. i will list what i have and what i plan on getting for this truck.
What I have:
Slash 4x4
strc rear carriers and belcrank
king headz mount
mip cvds
mmm2650kv
ten-t shocks
rpm f/r bumpers
revo slipper
rpm arms
Plans:
trenchers on desperados
savox 1257TG servo
strc shock towers
castle bec
strc knuckels and front carriers
undertray and outwears shroud
tekno bigbone
not sure on body yet

I saw a video on Proline (I think) undertray, and it seem to act like a rock collector. I think it might have been a "Ultimate RC" video. Maybe try search YouTube to check it out.
1/10 ERBE
1/10 Slash 4x4
Try searching on YouTube for "Pro Line Racing 4x4 Slash undertray reviewed." I wouldn't buy / use it. Outerwear Shrouds work great tho.

Yes, I learned it the hard way... I used such a expensive piece of plastic. It isnt worth the money. Its a rock collector and once their where rocks between chassis and undertray it doesnt need much to have holes in the undertray (area of the rear bulkhead) from bottoming out. And yes... there is a video from Ultimate RC. Another thing is, that your car is more complicated to disassemble.

is there an overtray for the LCG yet? Jconcepts seem to be the go to people for overtrays so maybe they will do one soon.
i would do the outerwears shroud anyday before I use the overtray from jconcepts
What savox should I go with I'm thinking 1257tg.anything better for the bigger wheels. Also any ideas on bodies?

You should get the real sized proline bodies, they look sweet in the MT setups!

For some reason the picture on Tower Hobbies shows the back side of the wheels.

Trimmed about 1/4" off each side.
Body posts: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUVY6&P=7
Package comes with a lot more parts than whats pictured. You only use the longest posts for the front and second longest for the rear.

I used adjustable body posts from proline for my body. Front fit fine and I widened the holes I the back a bit to make it fit.
2.2 rpm wide crawler rims with mashers
Thank you sir. And the pics====AWESOME.
Not to sure I like this body for this truck

Not sure if its just the angle but the body looks too big for the chassis. Looks kinda weird but maybe try lowering it or something.
It's for the slash 4x4 looks good on smaller wheels, not these ones though. Can't lower will rub

Its a nice body but it looks odd with that set-up.
I hear ya,hmmm
