I'm just coming back to RC! I understand that a higher mah battery helps with length of fun time but why the increase of voltage? Is it just to make the car faster or does it help else where? Thanks![]()
Extremely faster!!!
One shot.....One kill, no exceptions
Yes wicked fast
Keep an eye on temps though
And gear down

Its all about available current. mAh rating, C rating and voltage all play a part in available power/watts.
Eaxmple
5000mAh battery rated 25C
5000mAh=5amps
5Ax25C=125A
2s @ 7.4V nominal=7.4x125A=925 watts
3S @ 11.1V nominal=11.1x125A=1387.5 watts and so on.
Slash 4x4 will draw 1200 watts if you have the right stuff to do it.

More speed and more broken parts![]()
No Limit RC of Maryland
It has a lot more power delivered to the ESC, it doesn't really have anything to do with runtime, just a ton more power. I run 2s, it goes plenty fast and it's awesome, but if you do decide to go 3s, you can expect the parts to start breaking more and more, and it will end up costing more in the end. It does make it fun to run though. Keep an eye out on motor and esc temps. If you get 3s, I would put fans on ESC and motor. 4s is not possible with the stock ESC and motor. 6s with a mamba monster would be crazy, and it would be stupid fast. Wheelies for days, no wait, wheelies until your bumper has disappeared on the road by friction. haha
I Just switched to Lipos. 3s I got it to 62.what would 6s do
More voltage = more motor rpm = more speed ( or torque if geared up)
