I went back to stock rockers. Aluminum looks nice but the threads don't hold up if you take them off a few times
my rear left rocker thread for the shock is completely shot. I'm pretty upset that's $20 down the drain. Gets me kinda curious about the STRC rockers. These seemed to have soft metal or something. I sent a message to the ebayer I bought them from to see if I can get a replacement or a refund because this is total frustrating. I don't got money to throw around on stuff that doesn't work.
Side Note: The red shock bodies look sweet.

I also think the design of the hot racing rockers puts great stress on the thread, this should be better with the STRC rockers as these have the same design as stock, with an upper and lower hole to hold the pushrod/shock. But i cannot find them in stock, and STRC won't reply to my e-mails. Anyone knows how to contact STRC?
For now you can run a longer bolt with a nut to get by
I like the stock rockers I've Nver had any issues with them I broke one but its because I drilled the hole for the swaybar to close to the edge

Open it up a little with a drill. Wont need the threads
the weird thing is I can put the screw in fine when the rocker is off the post but once its on I can't.
Another spur gear downI can't imagine it being the gear mesh now. I moved like 5 feet and all the teeth we're flattened...
Did the mesh sound smooth?
Sounded fine when I tested it inside, went outside 5 feet done.
that's some bad luck! had to been too much clearance
Yeah, gonna bring it into the hobby shop for some help and will probably get a bigger pinion while im there.
check the bearing in there? maybe replace it perhaps the bearing that goes on the spur. something might be binding on there i'm thinking

It's gotta be your mesh isn't close enough I jut took out my 68t that I've had since I bought my truck and its in perfect shape

Maybe, was hard to mesh with the motor wires in the way.
that could be too, make sure the screws are tightened down to prevent the motor from moving under hard accel or braking.

Well the Red Tie Bars I ordered finally came in. I payed for expedited from LiquidRc and asked for a shipping refund and they refunded the total amount so I got them for free! I'm not going to the hobby shop until Saturday so no running until then. I must say the red tie bars look awesome, was kinda getting annoyed by having a red theme and then you look at the bumpers and see blue behind them.
That's good! I like liquidrc! You scored
Forusre everything is now red except that motor plate and the dust boots. Wish they made a red motor plate.
Well got my suspension back to the way I like it. I took the rocker off the post and screwed in the push rod then the shock and put it back on the post. guess that's the way to do it now. I also just noticed one of my shock caps is cracked. Whats a good upgrade option?
There isn't one, trust me. I've tried HR, STRC and New Era shock caps. They all suck, they all leak. Go with Traxxas plastic caps.
Here's a few pics of my E-Revo as it sits now.

Nice! What do you think of the servo? A lot better than stock?
Also, where did you get the red antenna nut?
Edit: and you need to dye your chassis!

I haven't got much time to test out the servo but it was working well when it was running. Traxxas makes a red crimp nut and Dubro makes a red antenna tube that you cut down to fit the length of the stock antenna tube. I plan on dying a brand new chassis in the future but im good with this one for now.
Looks good have quit a few upgrades.........![]()
Would you go flip my truck back over??
Nice truck, how do you like the CapPack? Would you recommend it?
What rockers are those?
Hot racing.
Don't buy these rockers stick to stock. Anyways went to the lhs and they only had a 56 spur and 20 pinion so I got those.

Well drilled the screw out of the motor mount remounted the motor got the gear mesh set and went out for a run all is well except my pinion came loose and the tires on my wheelie bar came off. I'm just glad I got it running good.
Use more loctite!
Didn't use any but now I did. Charging up the batterys now. Should have set good enough by the time they are charged. My driveway is literallya lake, I'm gonna go take a pic of it right now and upload it.

Okay so I ran it again all was well except I think the switch kept turning off and on for me. Like i would go it would stop working and then it would go through the start up cycle again. Also I saw some smoking coming out of the outerwears and the gears look fine so im guessing the slipper is too lose, it also wouldn't wheelie right before that so it has to be the problem. I'm REALLY unimpressed with the outerwears. My ESC hasn't fried yet but there is a significant amount of water getting into the chassis. This really makes me want to get a MM@ just to be safe.
Hmmm, thats kinda strange actually. Ive driven through snow without taking into account that the MM is not waterproof. 45 min later when i take the outwears off i can only spot a few drips of water.
Also driven through long and wet grass, and some puddles. No problem at all. I'm not leaving without it!
