I have the original short chassis/ narrow stance slayer for starters. My truck has the original "traxxas" tread tires and they are shot, bald spots, tears, little to no tread left on them. Oh and the rims a just as bad with cracks and what not. What is your experience with the Mud terrain t/a tires like how well do the grip in gravel and grass? I really want Badlands but after buying all that it will be like $80, Im just looking for some help. Thanks

Go with proline. Factory tires aren't that great. I run Proline Gladiator SC tires on stock Slayer rims on my truck. If you want to open up your wheel selection. Get a set of 12mm hex hubs for a 6mm axle and you can run just about any 12mm hex SC wheel you want.
Like so.. 2.8 Proline Trenchers just had to get the 12mm hex

Nope everything fits real nice, a lil body rub but u could just get some taller body post. I didn't even bother its not bad
Murda Slayer
Oh and that rub is only when the truck is completely bottomed out, so no worries there

Can you post the link for the hub conversion and wheels?
So with the 12mm hexes u can fit any of those 2.8 tire wheels

Do you have to change your gear ratio if our put the 2.8 trenchers on a slayer pro?
Ok I have this set up and notice its little slow off the start if I wanted to fix this would I just buy a 14 tooth clutch bell since I already have a 15 tooth?
