New 55 chevy body

So here are some pics of my 55 chevy body I airbrushed. I used red irredescent paint so it shifts color in the light. made a few mistakes with layering and the flames. Theres some red fasglitter mixed in with the flames too. But not a bad job I think since I'm still learning to airbrush.

Thanks, I didn't realize how big the body was until I picked it up. had to remove both the front and rear bumpers. It's thin but looks sweet. Glad you liked it.

welcome to the club did this one for my brother for his birthday working on mine nice job Dknuckles this is a sweet body do the shoo glue and drywall tape on the body , it will last longer and make it more stronger. haven't decided on my colors yet will post them here

Thanks dude my lhs is a 5 hour drive away and has got a pama pse 57 chevy bel air body which is 200mm wide i am going to find out how long it is and if i can mod it to fit its going to be my next missionSo thank you for the inspiration because i am fed up with the pro-line 50s pick shell done so many different paint jobs need a new old school look.........peace man

np Dknuckles i feel ya. im close to trying the airbrush too. Is it more time consuming when you airbrush D?

It's more time consuming for sure. But that could be my inexperience too. I just started the last couple of months. But you can certain get more detail and elaborate with airbrushing then with a spray can.

They should allow that body in a race.. like a throw back open 4x4 with whatever body and wheel combo lol.. on a short course track of course lol..

Nice looking cars. I used to Drag Race 55 Chevys. We are building 2 of these Baja 55's in to Street Drag Racers. Would love to see other paint jobs. Keep them coming.

Here is a picture of my Pro-Mod Car - sending off a clear shell to a custom painter to have it duplicated (as close as possible).

I'm doing it a little different instead of putting it on a 4x4 for clearance, I'm putting the body over the top of a Backslash for the low Drag Race look.

hey dknuckles what airbrush do you use? im waiting on a Renegade Volocity by badger to go with the one i have.did another 55 have to post the pics here put them in the gallery already will post it here later. All equip should be in by fri and i can start on it this weekend.

I'm using a Paasche Talon and a Talon Siphon feed too. I also shoot fasglitter with my paasche VL.

Haha that's not a very "local" hobby store. It takes me 5 hours to get me across the border into that states! Not even hah and I live beside the Rocky Mountains in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I feel bad for you man haha.

What are those nuts you are using for body clips? Did you have to change the posts to use them??

They last pretty well. I have bought 1 replacement set, but that is because i only needed 1! I bash hard too!

Awesome Parma 55 bodies. I just got mine yesterday. My Slash is in pieces for repair so i dont have a pic with it on the chassis yet but youll get the just of it. I won mine from the BigSquidRc show, Charlie Barnes did the custom paint job at RCX at his booth. I still have yet to add my own flare to decal wise. And ill probably remove the Team Parma decal from the door so i can put my car number there.
