    Big bore shocks

Where can I get a set of big bore shocks for a stampede for a decent price?

I'd skip those and go with Losi Ten-T's which are about the same price. I'm very happy with the two sets I bought.

O.G., so have you actually used the Traxxas BB shocks? How do they compare to the Ten-T's...

The Big Bore shocks work great on the Stampede's / MJ trucks. I run them on both my Diggers and like them. Only other shock I could recommend would be the Pro-Line Power Strokes.

I'm looking for some good shocks and really soft springs because I like crawling. How do you tell the stiffness in the springs?

Each company has a different set of grading for their springs. You may have to look at some of their sites, as some use colour as a grading to their springs, and some just use small painting marks to indicate the stiffness of their springs.

Thanks a lot I hate the stiffness of the stock shocks. They don't do anything.

I was disappointed with my BB' s, and I've used several different brands of chicks. The BB' s are very similar to the stockers.

I think the springs were a little soft on my big bores. They were a little more to my liking wen I added my stock springs as they are a little stiffer.. I did just order some VG racing springs which are a little stiffer yet, but they should allow me to remove the plastic traxxas spring stiffeners/spacers. I will update when they get here tomorrow.
