Hey guys when the wheels are mounted on to the axle carriers they tend to wobble around a lot and seems to be the axle stub and driveshaft moving back and forward. Any have this Isis before? And what can I do to fix it? Thinking about buying the Tekno R/C axle carriers and a set of traxxas steel outer drive shafts when I get the money.
Look through the summit forum lots of info. I just put shrink tube on my stubs and its holding up well
Maxxstang,
Are you running 14mm hex or 17mm hex adapters?
Please make a how to thread on this!Look through the summit forum lots of info. I just put shrink tube on my stubs and its holding up well![]()
Manager at LHS ~7 Years. I've seen some stuff lol
Check your wheel bearings.
Stock 14mm Hexs.
same problem here
I tightened mine up pretty good by doing a mod to the Traxxas 17mm hex and HPI's cap nut. But of course this would require the use of 17mm wheels.
Here's a link to the thread I used to do it.

Is there a clamping style hex available for the emaxx? I'm having the same issue with my short course truck. Lol.
I think there may be, but its rather expensive, popoxx had some fancy ones on his build thread. I personally am very happy with my Maximizer 17mm hexes, proline desparado rims, and ST Racing axle carriers. very little slop. one cheap option for the stock is putting a washer between the outside bearing and the hex pin (behind the stock hex and pin). This helps some. I also noticed that alot of slop came from the rod ends on my toe links. Upgraded to RPM ends for $8, works great so far.
To compleatly eliminate that, ur gonna need wheels, hexes, carriers, bearings, and maybe rod ends or new shafts tho.

Yeah I'm just waitin' on my tax money before I do all that.
